Krishna Wisdom is based at ISKCON Bhaktivedanta Manor, Watford and is the headquarters of the Hare Krishna movement in the UK. It provides opportunities for people to begin spiritual practices and support for those on the path. The philosophy and practice is based on the Bhagavad Gita As It Is, one of the oldest books in existence, which explains how we are all spiritual beings in a material body

which is a vehicle to be used for spiritual upliftment and ultimately developing higher consciousness, or Krishna Consciousness. The process is 'Simple living, high thinking' and promotes vegetarianism, meditation, elevation of consciousness through practice of chanting mantras and developing a deeper relationship with God, Krishna - the all attractive.

Wisdom on the Mystic India Bus 🚌 ✨

As we travel through the beauty and spiritual depth of India, one thing becomes very clear, this land is rich with devotion, worship, and countless traditions! Seeing so many different paths can naturally lead to the question, Which one is the right one?

In the Vedic tradition, there are many ways to approach and worship God. Rather than there being one “right” or “wrong” way, the emphasis is on developing a genuine and personal connection with the Divine in a way that resonates with your heart. 💖

In our tradition, we choose to worship Krishna because we are especially drawn to this personal and joyful form of God. The more time you spend learning about Krishna and His extraordinary qualities, the more you begin to understand why He has inspired the devotion of so many people for thousands of years. 🥹

When we take the time to pause and reflect on our experiences, we often begin to see the profound lessons woven through every chapter of life. One quote I heard on this trip from someone was, “Life is either entertainment or education.” That perspective really resonated with me. 🤓

We are incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to learn and grow through all that life brings. God, in His kindness, orchestrates circumstances in ways that shape us, strengthen us, and help us evolve. Even when situations don’t appear favourable in the moment, they often serve a greater purpose and ultimately work for our highest good. The challenge is not always understanding the lesson right away, but trusting the process and having faith that every experience is contributing to our growth. 🙌✨

On Saturday, we hosted our Connecting to Your Inner Child workshop, and what a beautiful, deep, and reflective experience it was. Everyone who attended shared how much the workshop had helped them and the insights they had gained. 🥰

We often underestimate how much our childhood experiences, both big and small, shape who we are today. Many of the beliefs, patterns, and emotions we carry into adulthood have roots in those early years, often without us even realising it. 🥺

Sometimes this can leave us holding on to resentment, hurt, or anger toward our parents or caregivers. Yet they, too, have their own stories, struggles, and wounds. When we begin to understand their journey, it can become easier to find compassion and forgiveness.

Forgiveness is one of the most freeing things we can do for ourselves. By letting go of the heaviness we’ve been carrying, we create space for healing, peace, and a deeper connection with ourselves and to God. 💛

Last month, our very own rock-and-roll star and valued team member, Jake, took the lead on our Soul Experience alongside Katie and Sophie. Not only did he help create a fantastic event, but he also welcomed the Lincoln group to the Manor, giving them a warm introduction and a memorable tour of the grounds. FOR ALL THE NATURE LOVERS 🌿🏔️

These clips capture just a glimpse of the breathtaking beauty of the Himalayan mountains. With each passing day and every step climbed higher, the landscape seemed to reveal an even greater masterpiece. The snow-capped peaks were my personal favourite, they stood majestically with great power. 🙌

There was a presence in those mountains that felt almost otherworldly, a quiet wisdom and powerful energy that seemed to radiate from every ridge and valley. Witnessing such beauty, it was impossible not to marvel at how great of an artist God truly is! The colours, the textures, the small details woven into every corner of creation were simply extraordinary. 🌳

Nature has always been my safe space. Even after five days of exploring her depths, I never once grew tired of her beauty, it felt endless. Away from the constant artificial noise, I found a peace that my nervous system had been longing for… The silence was restorative, allowing my mind to become clearer and my heart more present than it had been in a long time. 💖

Surrounded by such untouched magnificence, I felt deeply connected and held by Mother Earth. It felt like my connection with Krishna also grew stronger, and I could sense His intelligence and divine presence everywhere, in the mountains, the rivers, the forests, the rain and sun. ✨

It feels as though it was all just a dream… What a life-changing, magical journey it was! Though only twelve days, it felt so much longer, each moment layered with wonder and adventure. From wandering through the vibrant streets of Rishikesh, to immersing myself in the sacred Ganga, and losing myself in the quieter serenity of Uttarkashi’s towns… every step was alive with discovery. 🥰

Then came the mountains, five intense, yet profoundly powerful days in the Himalayas! The trek tested my strength and perseverance, but also offered a deep sense of renewal. To be away from the noise of civilization, unplugged from phones, and held by the embrace of Mother Earth, was a gift beyond measure. Even the weather, unfavourable at times, wove its own stories into the experience. 🌸

We were cared for with unwavering kindness by our mountain guides, nourished by delicious food, and accompanied by the most extraordinary company. Krishna’s magic wove us together like family and by the second day we had created friendships. When it came to the twelfth day the thought of parting from everyone was bittersweet. 🥲

The mountains hold a mystical wisdom, a gentle guidance that has drawn countless sages to their heights. To stand among them is to touch something timeless, something eternal. This journey will stay in my heart forever, a vivid reminder of life’s beauty, its challenges, and its profound magic. That Krishna really is everywhere… ✨

Yesterday we attended a powerful Ganga Arti in Rishikesh and by complete coincidence it landed on a very sacred day of Ganga Dusshera, which is observed to celebrate Mother Ganga’s birth anniversary, when she descended from heaven to earth. 🌍

It was such a beautiful opportunity to start the day dipping into her sacred and purifying water to then end the day honouring her! ✨
