NEWS: Global Moto and Kawasaki UK part ways after 41 years together.
Kawasaki started their long partnership with Lloyd Cooper Motorcycles in Watford, in the mid 1980's. Lloyd Cooper Motorcycles is the UK's oldest bike store trading from the same premises for 125 years since 1900, and Kawasaki have played a large part in their success.
Lloyd Cooper Motorcycles, which evolved into the Global Moto group, grew to include Colchester Kawasaki and Clay Cross Motorcycles, and has parted company with Kawasaki after 41 years.
Managing Director of Global Moto, Luke Gregory, will now focus the business on new ventures mainly in the form of distribution. Having been valued partners of Kawasaki since 1984, and enjoying decades of sales success with the Kawasaki brand, we at Kawasaki wish them all the very best in their next adventure.
Luke Gregory: “It’s been fantastic working with Kawasaki over so many years. Originally with my father running the business, I joined Lloyd Cooper's Watford, in the early 2000’s and under my direction we added Colchester in 2011 and Clay Cross in 2020. We have achieved a huge amount during our time together, including being voted dealer of the year multiple times by both Motorcycle News and Visordown! Plus gaining many awards from Kawasaki. We would like to thank Kawasaki and will really miss working with Craig and everyone at KMUK, including long serving General Manager Howard Dale, who has recently stepped into semi retirement. However now, we must concentrate on an exciting new chapter for Global Moto and our distribution business going forward ”.
Craig Watson: “Luke and the whole team at Global Moto have worked tirelessly to build their business into the successful entity it has become and we would like to extend our thanks to everyone involved, for the hard work and dedication they committed to Kawasaki.
