This I appreciate is nothing about cars, I want to tell you about a charity and a good friend of mine (Chris Chicken Taylor) who is Cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats to raise funds for Pets As therapy.

Pets As Therapy is a national charity founded in 1983 by Lesley Scott-Ordish. Now like then, the charity helps those in our communities most in need of animal companion therapy. Visting volunteer teams with their behaviourally assessed PAT Dogs or Cats who share the love of their own animal with people in hospitals, care homes, schools, prisons, day care centres and so many more establishments. The clients benefit from the wonderful effect a companion animal brings, namely non-judgemental listening, tactile comfort & affection.

A few words from Chris who has used this charity.

"We, as a family, benefitted from this kind or therapy when our dog Sid entered our lives over 8 years ago. He was first and foremost brought in to our family for my daighter. Emily who was suffering from mental health issues. Since then, Sid has been a constant comfort, as like all pets, for us all. This is the reason I have chosen Pets as Therapy as my charity for the cycling challange"

Of course, I know this is nothing about the motor trade, but I wanted to share this with a view of trying to raise funds for this wonderful charity and to let people in our communitess know that there is help out there, you do not have to be alone! God knows that this is a reality in the world that we live in, but there is help out there. Thank you

Say hello to Adam: one of our current interns and a huge lover of cars! Adam had a fantastic time doing work experience at Croxley Car Centre last week - as seen in this photo where he is helping to print off the car prices 😆🚗

"Adam is a wonderful young man and has a totally infectious smile!" said Andy, owner of Croxley Car Centre. "I will come and see him at the Café on a day he is there!"

We are so grateful to business owners like Andy who realise the immense value our interns can bring. If any other local companies would like to work with our interns and offer them placements, please get in touch 🧡
