Something so simple, but time consuming to change... After a cracking couple of track days at Anglesey and then Oulton Park the next day, noticed a slight exhaust blow.
Front end off to remove the turbo and manifold, all fresh gaskets and put back together and ready for its next day out terrorising the 'big' stuff... 😎

Oh 😬 did a Haldex oil change this morning, dropped the pump out to check and clean the strainer... Allegedly a full serv...

Oh 😬 did a Haldex oil change this morning, dropped the pump out to check and clean the strainer... Allegedly a full service history on the vehicle. Car booked back in now for a later date for all the transfer case and differential oils to be changed for peace of mind

Managed to get a replacement regulator pretty quickly, even though the car is 17 years old, and all back together the next day

Why so expensive? Well... This is a classic example of why... Lots of VW/Audi group cars suffer with ABS/wheel speed issues, replacements can be as little as £7 from Internet sellers, BUT, there are differences! If the vehicle has park pilot, cornering lights, auto hold brakes, the sensor can be very specific, and not every aftermarket company gets it right, regardless of the body colour!
Bitter experience says to do it right, do it once. Genuine part fitted to eliminate any issue later on.
But I would love to know how VW can justify the price for this!

Sunday morning, on the way in to work to finish detailing a car, sun shining, lovely bright morning... ...then you realise you're flowing a customer whose campervan has a rear light filled with water...
So, even though it's a Sunday, quick phone call, one campervan outside work, rear light removed, dried, cleaned and some new bulbs fitted.
Ideally I would replace the lamps, but initially digging suggests Autosleeper no longer support pre 2010 conversions with parts, yay...
This may require some Imagineering to find and fit replacement lamps to the recesses in the body.
