A Scania V8 that certainly made the most of those bygone summer skies. 💙🚛

Handed over last month by Peter Swinnerton, this stunning Scania R660 6x2 V8 tag axle is now proudly on the road with our local partners at 3G Transport LTD.

Finished in a striking metallic blue, the truck looked every bit as impressive against those bright summer skies. Now that summer has given way to autumn, with the weather looking rather different, we thought it was the perfect time to look back at this standout addition to the fleet.
This is a build packed with detail, from the premium finish through to the unmistakable V8 presence. The result is a seriously distinctive truck, combining Scania performance and refinement with the individual touches that make a fleet vehicle stand out.
A huge thank you to Harry, Tom and Charlie at 3G for continuing to put their trust in us.

Important update ⚠️

Due to the ongoing impact of extensive flooding following Storm Beolo, our Glasgow branch will remain temporarily closed tomorrow, (Tuesday).

Scania will be at Euro Bus Expo next week, between the 3rd - 5th November, at the NEC Birmingham, showcasing its latest solutions for the future of people transport.

Making its UK debut, the New Generation Scania Touring will showcase Scania’s battery electric coach offering, combining a distinctive Scania design with improved aerodynamics to reduce air drag, alongside the latest technology in safety systems and digital functions to support outstanding uptime and efficiency.

Also on the stand will be the award-winning Scania Irizar i6S Efficient Plug-in Hybrid, recently named winner of the Coach category at the Sustainable Bus Awards 2027. Offering up to 80 km of fully electric range and the potential for up to 40% fuel and emissions savings, it combines efficiency with passenger comfort and an enhanced driving experience.
