Out on the road for a customer that needed to be down south same day today

They were recovered on a flatbed due to braking down with no electric power ❌

we diagnosed late last night and and found the alternator wasn’t giving any power to the battery when the engine was on, we suggested to get a new one fitted.

Was -2 celcius doing this job but we understand the importance of staying on the road this festive season seeing family and juggling a busy work life.

Braving the weather with dedication we fitted the alternator and tested acordingly so the customer could go back home down south as soon as the job was completed✅

Mixed day for us as we took on a steering rack for another garage due to them being too busy to complete it

This was on a Vauxhall Astra, meaning this was a subframe out job no issues for us as we came prepaired and boxed it off before lunch ✅✅

Lovely e92 in for a ABS issue diagnosed as the rear right sensor not reading as it should causing the car to not have ABS or traction control ❌

Under further inspection the we found the wheel speed abs ring to have rusted and swollen. This then caused gap between the sensor to reduce and wear down the sensor head ❌

For this fix the client was aware that the drive shaft needed to be removed to correct this issue, but with the driveshaft being original we hit the common issues of the driveshaft axel nut seized in place (common issue)

With clear communication back to the client we both agreed it’s best to replace the driveshaft with a fresh unit, as the process to remove the current unit would be unsafe to reinstall ✅

With dedication and technique our lead mechanic removed the old unit and installed a fresh OEM replacement + sensor same day ✅

With the car off the ground, we tested that everything was working as it should before the client returned to no longer see an ABS light on his dashboard 🙌🏼

Roadside call out for a snapped driveshaft on a Nissan note (taxi) ❌
