Massive congratulations to Matt Carroll on a FIRST time pass today 12/05/26 in Yeovil after completing an intensive course 👏🙌
Matt said "As an older learner, I was accompanied by Lorraine on my intensive driving course. The week-long course not only equipped me with the relevant experience and skills required to pass the test, it also prepared me for real-life situations for my future independent driving sessions.
Through her professionalism and patience, Lorraine guided me and helped me gain confidence with all aspects of driving, including a particular corner which I felt unsure about. Thanks to her explanations and repeated practice, this became an easy corner, which I then nailed on test day!
The best part of this experience for me was that Lorraine genuinely cared about making me a safe and confident driver. I was not made to feel like another 'box to tick'. She was always happy to answer all my (many) questions about how to approach certain roundabouts, how to perform a manoeuvre, etc. Equally, we discussed lighter topics, such as my passion for cycling or Lorraine's weekend plans. This made driving feel less stressful and helped me gain the confidence I need to face any road!
Overall, this was a perfect experience, and I would strongly recommend taking this course if you feel uneasy behind the wheel, because you'll get better faster than you'll realise."
