We had another great Tuesday night racing session. Warm weather again kept the grip levels lovely all the way through.

But before we get into how the meeting went - quick note that the Winter racing starts this Sunday (11th Oct) - book in online via https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSde9fOsvFqC-kJIrQ2pA5oQOTF6--iumGk0wCcX08W0GvIX5Q/viewform

Oscar Keen took TQ and had the fastest lap of the evening. Gareth Brewer took 4wd TQ and had the fastest 4wd lap.

In the 4wd A-final Pete Marvell had a great start and took the lead but Gareth Brewer swiftly got the overtake done to take back that lead. Gareth continued lapping well and took the win. Liam Skelsey took second and Pete was third.

The A-final had Oscar Keen and Richard Miller leading the other racers round. It was only tiny errors that would decide this one. When things had settled down after the first few laps it was Harrison Joyce who was keeping the leaders in sight throughout; with just a small gap. Richard made a fantastic overtake on lap 5 and with Oscar making a small error on lap 9 - Oscar was unable to get back in contention until the last corner. Richard took the victory, Oscar was second 0.8s behind and Harrison was third a few seconds back.

The B-final was lead off by Nino Athanasiou and Matt Curtis from the front of the grid. John Renton slotted into 3rd behind them. Wesley East from 9th on the grid made his way through the field and by lap 4 he was close behind John. A small error allowed Wes to take the position. Nino and Matt were both incredibly consistent and remained in their starting positions. Nino took the win, Matt was second and Wes took third place.

In the C-final Paul Burt lead off the racers from pole and kept it clean. Steve Tillett and Mike Hoodless (from 5th on the grid) lead the charge behind Paul. Steve made a small error on lap 5 which let Mike through and he chased down Paul; getting close. Paul however had metronomic consistency without any errors and went on to take the win. Mike was 2nd and Steve was 3rd.

As promised here is the final 2026 Summer Series standings.

Excellent evening of racing using the very fast layout from the weekend. Warm too so the track stayed superb all night.

Reggie Castleden took TQ and Harrison Joyce had the fastest lap of the evening. Gareth Brewer got 4wd TQ and 4wd fastest lap.

In the A-final both Reggie and Harrison from the top spots on the grid had poor second laps dropping them down the order. Emily Schumann took the lead for a few laps before an error dropped her down the order a bit. There was then some excellent racing between a number of people until at the conclusion Les Izzard took the win with Nigel Harvie in second and Mark Keen finishing third.

In the 4wd final Gareth made an excellent start from pole. A mistake in the later laps allowed Liam Skelsey to catch and pass. Liam with a 91% consistency went on to take the win. Gareth was second and Pete Marvell third.

In the B-final the opening laps had some coming togethers which allowed John Renton, Wesley East and Paul Burt to get to the front. Paul using his wet car had a chain of racers behind with Matthew Smith on his bumper. A breakage eliminated Paul and the race settled John stayed out front for the win. Wes took second and Matt was third.

Matt Sadler from the back of the grid in the C-final jumped straight into the lead on the opener. Matt held the lead until a breakage ended his race. With a couple of laps remaining the order was as per the starting grid; Mike Hoodless, Phil Seager then David Baffa. And that is how it remained. Mike took the win, Phil second and David in third.

We are back again next Tuesday for more of the same!

With our summer series finishing yesterday we now look forward to the winter series. Our first round is 11th October.

A fantastic end to our 2026 Sunday Summer Series with dry conditions all day. A really nice, balanced layout gave way to highly competitive racing in all classes.

A massive thank you to everyone who has given up their time to help make the series happen. It’s been our best ever attended Summer Series which a great to see.

A huge congratulations to our series winners with Steve Biscoe taking the 2wd crown continuing back to back series victories since our 2024 Summer Series. Also congratulations to Paul Timberlake, Mannie Panesar and Louise Oliver for taking the series win in 4wd, Vintage 4wd and Vintage 2wd respectively.

We’ll be sharing the full series results shortly.

It’s not long to wait until our winter series which starts on the 11th October.
