Good morning everyone, I need your help — and it’s free 🩷
Facebook are at it again, capping my posts so only 1–2k people see them… sometimes even as low as 100. It can feel really disheartening as an artist and honestly makes you question your work or yourself.
I put my heart into creating art and try so hard to bring joy and beauty to others through my canvases.
If you could please like, share, tag, or even comment “👋”, it would mean the world to me and help more than you know. Thank you for always supporting me 🫶🎨

Driving test short notice cancellation period to change on 8 April 2025

The DVSA published their 7-point plan to reduce driving test waiting times on 18 December 2024, they confirmed that one of the actions would be to increase the short notice cancellation period.

They are increasing the short notice cancellation period for car driving tests from 3 clear working days to 10 clear working days. They intend to introduce this change on Tuesday 8 April 2025.

To do this, they need to change legislation. This process was started on Monday 17 March 2025 when a Statutory Instrument was laid before Parliament to change the rules. If Parliament approves the change, it will come into force from 8 April 2025.

This change only applies to car driving tests.

Rules for cars used for driving tests
We have updated the guidance about the rules for cars used for driving tests on the GOV.UK website.

This guidance is mainly used by learner drivers who are planning to take the driving test in their own car. However, the rules also apply to the cars ADIs use when they are being used for a driving test.

Why the guidance has been updated
The guidance is updated from time to time to reflect the latest developments in vehicle technology, and to address questions we’re commonly asked.

The latest update clarifies that these features can be used during the driving test if they are fitted:

cruise control (including adaptive)
speed limiters
parking sensors and cameras
lane assist
blind spot monitoring
traffic sign recognition systems
The guidance also explains that self-parking and Tesla autopilot cannot be used during the driving test if they are fitted.

The guidance also now explains the rules for tinted windows and dual controls, as these are common queries we get.
