🚗 What are the most common reasons people fail their driving test? 👀

Knowing what examiners are looking for can make a HUGE difference! 💚

From poor observations at junctions and incorrect mirror use to positioning, traffic signs and reverse parking, there are plenty of things to watch out for when preparing for your test.

📋 I've put together this guide to the 10 most common reasons people fail, along with the major faults that can result in an automatic fail.

💡 My advice? Don't just focus on passing your test. Focus on becoming a safe, confident and independent driver for life!

At AutoGo Driving School, we'll work together on the areas you find most challenging, helping you build your skills and confidence at your own pace. 😊

🚗 5 THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE YOU START DRIVING! 👀

Before you set off, take a few seconds to make sure everything is set up correctly. It can make a big difference to your comfort, control, and safety. 👍

✅ DOORS – Make sure all the doors are properly shut.

✅ SEAT – Adjust your seat so you can comfortably reach the pedals and have a clear view of the road.

✅ STEERING – Position the steering wheel so you're comfortable and have good control.

✅ SEAT BELT – Buckle up and make sure your passengers do, too.

✅ MIRRORS – Set your mirrors so you have the best possible view around your car.

💡 If you're learning in an automatic, getting your seating position right is especially important — you should be able to comfortably reach the pedals without stretching or sitting too close.

These little checks only take a few seconds, but getting into the habit of doing them every time you drive is a great way to start your journey safely. 💚

🎉 A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO ELLIOTT! 🎉

What a result today! 🚗💨

Elliott was feeling very nervous before his driving test this morning, but he didn’t let those nerves get the better of him. He stayed focused, put everything we’ve practised into action and came away with a FIRST-TIME PASS! 🥳👏

And with just 3 driver faults too! 🙌

It’s brilliant to see how far you’ve come, Elliott, and you should be really proud of yourself. 💚

From feeling nervous before the test to driving away with that PASS — what a way to do it! 😁🚗

Congratulations Elliott, and enjoy the freedom! 🎉🎊

🚗 DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TYRE SIZE MEANS? 🚗

Ever looked at the side of your tyre and wondered what all those numbers and letters actually mean? 🤔

For example, 205/55 R16 91V isn't just a random collection of numbers! It tells you important information about your tyre, including:

🔹 Tyre width
🔹 Aspect ratio
🔹 Construction type
🔹 Wheel diameter
🔹 Maximum load
🔹 Speed rating

Knowing a little about your tyres is an important part of being a safe and confident driver. 👍

💚 At AutoGo Driving School, we don't just teach you how to pass your test — we want you to feel confident and understand your car too.
