1969 Dodge Charger R/T – Matching Numbers 440 Magnum | Black with Silver R/T Stripes

Offered for sale is an exceptionally well-presented and highly desirable 1969 Dodge Charger R/T — a true icon of the American muscle car era, presented here in one of its most timeless and menacing colour combinations.

Finished in deep black with correct silver R/T tail stripes, this example has a clean, OEM-focused aesthetic that perfectly captures the original intent of Dodge’s design team. The body presents with excellent presence and straight lines, retaining that unmistakable “coke bottle” profile that made the ’69 Charger one of the most recognisable muscle cars ever produced.

At its heart sits the original, matching-numbers 7.2-litre (440 cubic inch) Magnum V8, factory rated at 375 BHP and 480 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered through the correct 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission, providing effortless performance and that characteristic big-block surge that defines the R/T driving experience.

This example shows 15,605 miles indicated on the dash, the car presents in a manner consistent with careful ownership and sympathetic use.

The R/T (Road/Track) package represented the performance flagship of the Charger range in 1969, bringing with it heavy-duty suspension, uprated braking, and the legendary 440 Magnum engine as standard — placing it firmly among the most capable and desirable muscle cars of its time.

Importantly, this example benefits from a number of well-considered upgrades that enhance usability and reliability without detracting from its original character. These include motorsport-grade braided AN lines for both fuel and coolant systems, braided brake lines for improved pedal feel and durability, and an upgraded Engineered Cooling Products (ECP) radiator to support more efficient temperature management.

To further complement the car’s performance credentials, it has been fitted with an upgraded Moser Engineering rear axle and differential — specifically a Moser 60 built-to-order rear end package — offering significantly increased strength and reliability over the factory setup.

1957 MGA in baby blue was imported from South Africa in 2022 and subsequently treated to a comprehensive refurbishment. It presents today as a well-sorted and highly usable classic, benefitting from a series of thoughtful improvements that enhance the driving experience without detracting from its period charm. Most notably, it has been upgraded with a desirable Mazda 5-speed gearbox, a modification widely appreciated among enthusiasts for transforming long-distance usability and making modern road driving far more relaxed.

Finished in an eye-catching shade of blue, the car has a wonderful presence on the road, complemented by its brightwork and a full set of wire spoke wheels that perfectly complete the period look. The bodywork remains in pleasing order, showing only light signs of age that sit comfortably with the car’s character. Underneath, it appears reassuringly solid and well maintained, exactly as one would hope for a car that has clearly been cared for.

Inside, the cabin has been completely retrimmed to a high standard in rich tan leather, creating a warm and inviting environment that feels both authentic and refreshed. New seats, carpets, hood, and tonneau cover all contribute to the sense of quality throughout, while the gauges and switchgear are reported to be in good working order, adding to the car’s usability and enjoyment
