You have so many exciting plans for the future, which rely on you passing your test today. I’m absolutely over the moon that you achieved what you deserve.
I don’t know how you’ve managed to fit driving lessons into your busy workday. I don’t think many people could commute by train for over an hour each day to work, do a 12 hour shift of very hard manual work, 6 or 7 days a week, then show such enthusiasm for their driving lesson after such a long and tiring day! You are an inspiration!🤩

It was lovely to see your reaction when told your result…and you even said that your day is now going to be just full of 🦄 and 🌈 rainbows!🤣😆.
As I drove you home from your test, you were sharing your good news with friends and relatives (even one in Dubai). Everyone was over the moon for you, and I know that you are planning to start looking for a car as soon as possible…make sure you send me a photo, so I can look out for you!🚘
I’ll really miss our lessons, as you’ve been great company, and we’ve had lots of chats and laughs every week. Best of luck with your acting career, aswell as your upcoming performance in April. I’m pretty sure you’re the only pupil I’ve had who had performed on Broadway!🤩

You’ve been keeping your driving test date top secret, and I thought it was really funny when your dad contacted you this morning to ask if you wanted an extra driving lesson with him this afternoon (not knowing that it was your actual test!).
You were very cruel texting your mum to say you’d failed, before sharing the true result!😏😆
I’ve really enjoyed all of our time together on lessons, and look forward to driving through the Mersey tunnels with you in a couple of weeks, then possibly Passplus at some time in the future.

Congratulations to Franklin Okolo, who completed his final 3 hours of Passplus last night with a challenging drive to Manchester. We drove through the Mersey tunnel, then made our way to the waterfront, passing the Liver buildings and Albert Dock. We then made our way towards the Anglican Cathedral and along Hope street to the Catholic cathedral. We drove right into the city centre, which was packed with people celebrating Chinese New year 🧧. Lots of road closures and diversions, before we made our way along busy Edge Lane dual carriageway towards M62. We joined the M60 Manchester ring road to Trafford Park, as it was starting to go dark. Then we set the sat nav to Salford Quays, using a multi storey car park as our destination in Mediacity. Our journey took us past Man Utd football stadium, and we had to contend with trams crossing the roads, aswell as traffic lights which were only for cyclists (both very unusual things, compared to the driving we have previously done). The first 3 hours which we completed the previous day included lots of rural scenic roads, including the Horseshoe Pass in North Wales, Llangollen, and we even visited Pontcysyllte Aquaduct & canal World Heritage Site. Franklin has been planning and looking forward to completing this course for many months, since passing his test, and now plans to visit several cities around the country, visiting friends. It’s been a really enjoyable couple of days, and lovely to see how much more driving confidence you have gained. I wish you well for the future in all that you do!😊###

Fantastic achievement by Lauren Allison, who has completed a full day of driving to achieve her PassPlus certificate. We set off this morning in Lauren’s own gorgeous Audi A1. We decided to make our way through the Mersey tunnel, through the outskirts of Bootle towards a very busy junction called Switch Island, where we joined the M58, following signposts towards M6 North. After driving on the M6 for a while, we were alerted to the tyre pressure warning light coming on, so needed to exit the motorway in Lancaster to check the tyres. It was a useful experience for Lauren to know exactly how to add more air to her tyres, and we were both glad that this happened for the first time when she wasn’t on her own. After a much needed coffee and snack, we continued on our journey to beautiful Lake Windermere. It was a struggle to find a parking space, but Lauren managed to squeeze into the one tight space we eventually found. 👍. The scenery was stunning as we walked beside the lake, especially seeing the snow capped mountains in the background. After our hot chocolate and some sightseeing and photos, we started our journey home on a very busy M6 in rush hour. We stopped for another break at a motorway service station, which required good judgement and driving confidence to rejoin a very busy motorway building up to a high speed on a short slip road….really well done Lauren!👏👏👏. The total journey was 239 miles, and I can honestly say that I felt like I was sitting next to an experienced driver, not someone who only passed her test a couple of weeks ago!👍🚙🤩. I hope today’s drive will give you the experience you wanted to drive further afield to enjoy future days out with your friends ###

Congratulations to Sonny Boardman, who has just completed the final 3 hours of his Passplus course.
Sonny passed his test in November 2024, but has not driven since. As part of his birthday present was to get insurance to drive the family car, it was a great idea to book this extra training.
Sonny opted to do 2 separate 3 hour sessions, in his family car. The first session, a few days ago, was mainly in darkness. We drove on the motorway, dual carriageways and unlit rural roads, making use of full beam headlights. We drove to Chester, and passed the zoo, which will be somewhere Sonny is likely to visit.
This morning, we drove through the Mersey tunnel, through Liverpool City centre, following signposts towards M62. Sonny then followed signposts towards M60 south, as we wanted to head towards Trafford Park in Manchester. After a coffee stop at Chill Factore, where we pretended we were watching the Winter Olympics, we decided to drive home via Manchester airport, where we sussed out the easiest and cheapest drop off car park (JP1).
The whole 6 hour course was so worthwhile, and really enjoyable. Sonny makes me laugh with all of his funny stories, and was great company throughout. He plans to go out on his own in the car for the first time this afternoon….and hopefully will enjoy a trip up to Scotland at some point over the next few months.🚗🤩😁###

You have had 95% of your lessons in my car, but because you’ve had lots of private practice with your mum, you made the decision last week, that you’d prefer to take your driving test in your own car. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of our lessons, especially the long trips to your school in Llandudno. I know you were really looking forward to being able to drive to school yourself on Monday if you passed today…so you’ve got your wish!👍🏻. We are planning to have a full day doing Pass plus, driving to the Lake District in a few weeks time, which will be a great experience for you….not to mention that your insurance company may give you a discount on your policy. Fantastic result by Mae Lothian, who passed her test this morning with just 2 driving faults….Well done Mae!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. You were so jammy with the weather, which was forecast to snow. But luckily, the test time was snow free, and was able to go ahead. My drive home after dropping you off was a totally different experience, as there was frozen hail on ungritted roads, a couple of skids, even after adapting my driving style, then snow as I arrived home. Thankfully your test was before all of this, especially as there’s currently such a long waiting list of 6 months to find available test dates!😳😬. You’ve been great company on lessons, and I’m looking forward to our motorway lesson, as well as starting with your sister in the summer, once she becomes 17. The examiner was very complimentary of your drive, especially the decision you made when you realised you’d approached a roundabout in the wrong lane…. You knew that the only safe option was to take the first exit, which was definitely the only safe thing to do.👍🏻🤩.
