The River Severn is beautiful, but it deserves respect.

As part of Drowning Prevention Week, we’d like to remind everyone to stay safe around water:

✅ Wear buoyancy aids when provided
✅ Keep children supervised at all times
✅ Don’t enter the river to retrieve objects
✅ Be aware of strong currents and hidden hazards
✅ In an emergency call 999 and ask for Fire & Rescue

Remember: even strong swimmers can get into difficulty in rivers due to currents, cold water shock and unseen hazards.

Sun’s out. Boats out. It’s hot hot hot and we Brit’s are living it up like it’s the Bahamas 🤘🏻☀️😎

We hope everyone’s had a brilliant bank holiday weekend, enjoying the sun safely and not completely melting in the heat 🫠🌞

My 8-year-old son is a huge nature lover (watch out David Attenborough 😄), and after recently learning that ducks, swans and geese are much healthier when they eat the right foods, he decided he wanted to help spread the word and encourage people not to automatically reach for the bread bag every time.

Most of us grew up feeding ducks bread… turns out it’s not actually that great for their little tummies 🫣😬

So if you’re heading over this half term to visit our feathery friends, why not consider making your own healthy mix (see poster for ideas)?
Or, if you don’t have time, Joe has made up some little bags himself which he is selling for £1 each. He’s left an honesty box next to the marina office.
