Random thought for the day. 😆

So, what are we looking at...
An advert for various KDX parts.
Instead of, as I normally do, listing parts individually on here or ebay etc, I have taken a few pics of lots of them together, to show what there currently is.
The pricing is simple, it is 'reasonable offers' on each piece (some are multiples, gearbox sets etc) plus whatever the postage is to where you are.
I imagine this will be mostly useful for UK buyers, as that's where we are and the postage to far flung corners of the world could get costly. But if you want a part enough I am happy to post oversees.
Payment is by bank transfer only as all the others (PP etc) charge even when sent as gifts. Again, probably better for UK buyers as I think the banks add a charge for oversees transfers.
Dm me with any offers or questions (if something is still available, what model it's for, condition etc) as opposed to just asking in the comments. I don't always get notifications of comments.
Cheers.

So awhile back I fitted a 220 engine into my fav 'modern' bike, my E series 89. This time out I was curious about whether an fmf gnarly from a H would fit. ( I know, I do these daft things so you don't have to. 😂 )
The answer is as always, yes, but with some mods.
First up the shock needs swapping to the later H shock as the E res points down and the H res points up, to clear their respective pipes.
Then the E air box needs the lower right hand corner trimming back and plating/re sealing to allow the exhaust end to pass under it.
The little bracket for the rear master cylinder res needs either removing or pushing back (as I've done for now).
I have a Gas Gas cylinder that has no res to solve that little conundrum.
After that it's just bracketry and it's good to go.
First report is that, as you'd expect the previous stock e pipe that was on was restricting the flow of the 220, so the fmf thin wall pipe lets the motor flow.
Coupled with the 35mm E carb it now rips cleanly from tickover (which it struggled to do previously) to full chat.
😁

KDX's are very communcative animals, quite happy to let you know, if they feel your mechanical aptitude is not up to their exacting standards. 😂😂

So, it turns out the copper they sent up onto my workshop roof to try and talk me down, is also into bikes. I showed him why I am up here and now he's sat next to me gently rocking to and fro whilst mumbling to himself. 🤣

Shameless plug for the young fellas new venture. 😁
