Volkswagen Golf in to get put back to stock after being tuned elsewhere with pops & bangs while the catalyst is still in place! Also the car was slower than stock power!

Be careful who you let tune your car, if someone is offering pop & bangs with the car still in place then stay away from that ‘tuner’ as all their after is your money and have no idea how things work.

⛽️ BETTER FUEL WITH POWER! ⛽️

With fuel hovering around £2 a litre, the owner of this stunning BMW X6 gave us a call with a clear goal: he loved driving his car, but filling up a tank that size was starting to sting. He didn’t want to sacrifice performance, but he desperately wanted to get more miles out of every full tank. We headed mobile over to our good mates at Tyseley Autos to get the job sorted for him on-site.

Before we touch any engine map, health comes first. We ran a full, comprehensive diagnostic check across all systems to make sure the engine, sensors, and setup were operating in peak condition. Remapping a car with underlying issues is a recipe for trouble, so ensuring everything was 100% healthy gave us the perfect baseline to safely refine the engine’s software calibration.

Once we cleared the health checks, we carried out a custom Stage 1 tune focused on optimizing torque delivery and engine efficiency. By sharpening the engine’s mid-range torque, the car doesn’t have to work anywhere near as hard to maintain cruising speeds. The result is better power delivery when you plant your foot, paired with significantly improved fuel efficiency when driving normally.

A few days later, the customer got back to us with his real-world results—and he was thrilled. Not only does the X6 feel noticeably punchier and more responsive, but his fuel consumption improved enough to make a real difference at the pumps. Extra power and better fuel economy: a genuine win-win situation. Big shoutout to the team at Tyseley Autos for having us down!

Another one in at SCR Automotive 🔧

Audi Q7 72 plate in for alternator coding.

This one was a bit more involved than your usual coding job. Being a hybrid, the charging system works alongside the 48V hybrid battery, so before I could get the alternator coded in, I had to wake the hybrid battery up first.

Once that was sorted, I could get on with the programming and get everything talking to each other properly.

All coded in perfectly ✅

No warning lights, no faults and the car is back up and running as it should be.

These modern hybrids can be a bit more complicated when it comes to diagnostics and coding, but with the right equipment and knowing what you’re doing, we can get them sorted.

Jaguar XE — AdBlue & NOx Fault Sorted 🔧🚗

We got called out to this Jaguar XE after the customer was left pretty stressed — the car had developed AdBlue/NOx system faults and wouldn’t start at all.

We started with a full diagnostic check to see exactly what was going on before carrying out any work. Once we’d diagnosed the issue, we carried out the required AdBlue/NOx solution and got everything sorted.

The best part? The car is now starting and back on the road. ✅
