🚐💨 Out in Stockingford, Nuneaton, Warwickshire today carrying out a DPF clean on this limited-edition Nissan Qashqai – otherwise known as the "Yellow Peril"! 😎

The vehicle had reached its DPF mileage limit, with the countdown showing 104,275 miles. As a result, the DPF had stopped regenerating completely.

Initial diagnostics showed the DPF pressure sitting at around 44 millibars at idle. During our investigation, we also found an airflow ratio fault code. Further inspection revealed a split turbo pipe, which was preventing the vehicle from regenerating the DPF correctly.

As it was late on a Saturday afternoon, the customer ordered the replacement pipe ready for fitting. We then carried out our professional DPF cleaning service.

🚐💨 Another successful DPF rescue completed by Elite Mobile!

This time we were out in Great Glen, Leicestershire, working on a Mercedes suffering from a heavily contaminated DPF.

Following a thorough diagnostic inspection and analysis of the live data, we found no underlying faults with the vehicle. 🚐💨 Another successful DPF rescue completed by Elite Mobile!

A few weeks ago, we were out in Twycross, Leicestershire, not far from the zoo, helping a customer who had only recently purchased his vehicle. Unfortunately, the previous owner had cleared the DPF fault codes before the sale, masking an underlying issue.

After investigating, we found that a recently fitted thermostat was faulty, preventing the engine from reaching and maintaining the required 90°C operating temperature. As a result, the DPF was unable to carry out a proper regeneration, leading to blockage issues.

🚗 DPF Cleaning in Broughton Astley, Leicestershire!

We were called out to this one after being recommended by a local garage. The Range Rover had a blocked DPF — diagnostics showed it had locked out at 103%, meaning the ECU would no longer allow regeneration.

While checking, we also noticed some AdBlue codes, usually caused by a blocked injector. We cleaned the injector port and then tackled the DPF, which was sitting at around 52 millibars at idle.

Over the years, we’ve seen plenty of quotes for this work. Land Rover would have only replaced the parts, costing the customer £3,885! We managed to get it cleaned in under 2 hours, for just a fraction of that price.

Out in Leicester near Uppingham Road this late Saturday afternoon working on a Mercedes GLA220 for an engine carbon clean 🔧

This vehicle came in with noticeable base engine noise, poor throttle response with a delay in revs, and a shaky idle. After diagnosing, we also found an EGR valve restriction contributing to the issues.

We carried out a full hydrogen carbon clean, running the machine for 1 hour to break down the carbon build-up inside the engine.

The results were immediate 👇

🚗 Another Call-Out in Houghton on the Hill – Market Harborough District, Leicestershire

We were back out in Houghton on the Hill this week for a returning customer — the third time we've worked on this vehicle over the past few years.

The owner mainly uses the car for very short journeys, which unfortunately is one of the main causes of DPF issues.

🔧 A quick history with this vehicle:

Around 2 years ago we had to carry out a deep DPF clean due to heavy blockage.

About 1 year ago, the DPF back pressure was low enough that we could perform a forced regeneration to clear it.

This time, after many short journeys again, the DPF back pressure was extremely high — just under 60 millibars at idle, meaning the DPF was fully blocked once more.

As always, we started with full diagnostics, checking all sensors and the entire system before carrying out the clean. Everything was functioning correctly, so there was nothing preventing the vehicle from performing a normal regeneration — the issue was simply the driving style.

⚠️ Important advice for vehicles with a DPF/GPF:

To help your vehicle perform a proper regeneration, it’s recommended that once a month you:

✅ Have at least 16 litres of fuel (or ¼ tank minimum)
✅ Drive for around 20 miles without stopping
✅ Maintain a steady speed of 50–70 mph

This allows the exhaust system to reach the temperatures needed to burn off soot and keep the DPF clear.

Short journeys are one of the biggest causes of blocked DPFs, but a simple monthly drive like this can save you hundreds of pounds in repairs.

Out in Hinckley, Leicestershire, to DPF clean this BMW 3 series. This one was quite high on Idle 80 millibars. We really want to see this down below 10 millibars of back pressure at idle.

This one also had airflow codes. The usual suspect on these, the breather pipe, becomes very brittle. I only touched the pipe, and it broke in half with just a slight touch. The customer ordered another pipe i think from Amazon or Ebay, for just over £7, which he was going to change himself. Easy enough job. Far cheaper than a BMW Part

We managed to get this below 8 millibars at idle. Job Done.
