Some sad news from this event...
We will not be going ahead with an event in 2024
We still have a good relationship with the Royal Welsh and we hope to be back again in a future year, but there were a few factors which made us take the decision not to go ahead this year
The main reason was the fact that Land Rover Monthly are once again holding an event just 5 miles away on the same weekend we had a large number of people drop out at the last minute last year when they reduced their prices to attend (we think that they were struggling) and had to do a lot of scrambling to get a decent show together (which we did manage). However despite asking LRM to avoid the same weekend this year they have not done so and we foresee a lot of problems if we do go ahead again this year and we always want to do something of quality when we do it.
We had also been asked by RWAS to share some space and the parade with other groups, and in fact for both of the last 2 years we have invited the tractors which were present to join us, but they preferred to remain on their stands. Space however could be an issue and It seems best to let whoever is doing the other display take the lead
We also have a number of our organizing group who would like to go to Malvern which would put even greater pressure on a couple of us who would be left.
So we are proposing to take a break, but would like to keep in contact and hopefully do this again in another year or two when hopefully that LRM show will either have moved, or we can work on getting people who did not enjoy that other show to join ours and / or we can work something else out with RWAS
We really will miss the people who have displayed, you have always been so supportive not only with the number and quality of the vehicles you have brought, but your helpful attitudes especially in our parade fun. It would be nice to see you at any shows that you do go to so please do say hello if you see us anywhere.
So with great sadness we say not this year, but please do keep in touch
