Collection of Golf GTI on the train from Lincoln to Southampton and then driven back to Lincoln!
I did a solo run, leaving the wife and kids at home.
Once I got my tickets for the train the first train was cancelled, so I had to get a bus to Newark and the train from there to Kings Cross.
Then I had to jump on the underground and got the next train to Botley close to where the Garage was located.
Once at the Garage, I could see the car on a shelf as show in the last clip.

Weekend post! I really hate copper grease; it actually freaks me out to see it on any part. When you switch from a lubricated to a dry bolt, you’ll need to crank up the torque because of more friction. Dry bolts usually need 25-30% more torque for the same clamping force compared to greased ones. So, if you’re greasing a bolt that’s normally dry (like VAG group bolts), remember you won’t need to tighten it as much. Or, just stick to the manufacturer’s dry torque specs! 🔩🔧
