🔧 ANOTHER TRANSIT THAT’S DONE THE ROUNDS… 🤦

Another Transit 2.2 TDCi arrives at Wiggs Vans 365 after visiting other garages with ongoing performance issues. 🤠🤠🤠

Our diagnosis?

A failed oil filler cap — specifically, the internal pressure control valve. 🤦

It may look insignificant, but a failure can cause excessive crankcase pressure or allow unmetered air in, affecting air-mass calculations and fuelling. 🤔

The knock-on effects can include poor running, increased soot production and potential DPF loading/regeneration issues. 🤷

This is why proper Transit diagnosis matters. 👨‍🔧

So… did your local garage know this Or
maybe they just knew you'd come back and pay them again, for plugging in and clearing the fault - advising a gut & remap package... 😏

🚐 TRANSIT 2.2 TDCi – DIAGNOSED & REPAIRED 🔧

This Transit came in with excessive white smoke, poor performance and excessive crankcase pressure.

🔍 We diagnosed the faults and replaced the rocker cover & injector nozzle washers.

We found injector set 3-4 to be seized in place with the dreaded black death, but we eventually got them out.

We also:
✅ Inspected & cleaned the oil pump & pick-up pipe
✅ Replaced the sump
✅ Replaced the engine oil & filter
✅ Replaced the engine air filter

Using a mix of Genuine, OEM & Aftermarket parts. 👨‍🔧
