And we’re certainly going back a fair few years with this one!

A little piece of motoring history from Swarthmoor, Ulverston!

Take a closer look at the writing on the cab… 👀🤔

Do any of our Team A followers remember this one?

We’d love to hear your memories! 🖤💙🩶

🔧 We’re not just here for the laughs! 😂

Behind the blue doors at Ainsworth’s Garage, we’re busy looking after cars, vans, motorhomes and HGVs, from MOTs and servicing to repairs.

We’re a family-run garage here in Ulverston, and we’re proud of the work we do and the team behind it.

📅 If you want Team A, plan ahead!

We’re currently booking around 3–4 weeks ahead for MOTs and routine servicing, so please get in touch in plenty of time.

🔧 But we know breakdowns and unexpected repairs don’t come with a warning! If something goes wrong, please don’t hesitate to give us a call. We’ll always do our best to help where we can.

And remember, the banter comes free of charge! 😂

Never a dull moment over here at Team A with this duo! After a long, and very busy, week they still find time to mess about 😂😂! In fact, it’s a struggle to get them to go home some days 😂!

🔧 TEAM A ARE RECRUITING! 🖤💙🩶

Could you be the next member of Team A?

We’re looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join us at Ainsworth’s Garage!

We know recruitment in our industry isn’t easy… but we’re not just looking to fill a vacancy. We’re looking for the right person to become part of Team A!

🔧 So, who are we looking for?

Ideally, a qualified Class 4 & 7 MOT Tester who’s also confident carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs.

An interest in diagnostics and HGV servicing and repairs would be a real bonus!

We work on a wide variety of vehicles, and at Team A, everyone mucks in and helps each other wherever needed.

But don’t stop reading if you’re not an MOT Tester!

We’d also love to hear from Level 3 qualified vehicle technicians who have the appropriate qualifications and experience to work towards becoming an MOT Tester.

We’re happy to consider further training for the right person. It’s about finding the right fit, not just ticking boxes!

💙 What can Team A offer you?

✔️ Competitive salary, dependent on experience and qualifications.

✔️ A friendly, family-run working environment.

✔️ A supportive team where everyone helps each other out.

✔️ Opportunities for training and development.

✔️ A varied and interesting workload.

✔️ And plenty of Team A banter! 😂

No bonus targets to chase. No stopwatch hanging over your shoulder. Just good, honest work, a supportive team and the satisfaction of doing the job properly.

We’re a family business. We work hard, we look after our customers and we look after each other.

And with some exciting times ahead for Ainsworth’s Garage, it’s a great time to become part of Team A! 🖤💙🩶

📸 Team A Archives 🏁

If I (Louise) was asked which race I remember most, then this is it… I was just 12 years old, but I remember it like it was yesterday!

And now I’ve learnt how to screen record YouTube, I can finally share it! 😂😂

I was stood with my Nanna, Mrs A Senior, at a similar vantage point to where this video was filmed. There was huge excitement as this was a Championship Final!

The race started, and I remember my Nanna saying, “Well, that’s that then. He’s out, that’s it, it’s all over!” And everyone being so disappointed as Richard went out on the first bend…

But that’s not where this race ended! 😂

This is Richard we’re talking about!

So, if you have a few minutes to spare, watch how he came from last place, worked his way through the entire field and went on to win the 1990 BriSCA V8 HotStox British Championship! 🏆🏁

I even caught a glimpse of my Mum at the end of the video… and had completely forgotten that my brother and I also featured on the victory lap! 😂

Fantastic memories for me and, I’m sure, so many others who were there that day! 🖤💙🩶

There’s a definite nostalgia about old black and white racing photos… 🖤🤍

No digital cameras, no taking 50 photos to get the perfect shot… just point, click and hope for the best! 😂📸

And all these years later, here we are digging them back out of the archives!

Now here’s one from the depths of Team A archives…….

Who remembers Bammy?

A great write-up here for 354 from Bellevue May 1982! A well deserved win 🏆 in the Final against a strong opposition 🏁🏁🏁
