To all our customers & traders , we would like to assure you that we will continue to trade and open as usual throughout the proposed lockdown period which is due to start Thursday 5th November.

We are classed as an essential business and are therefore allowed to continue trading,as we did during the last lockdown .

It has been announced that from the 1st August 2020, the government issued 6 months extension to MOT’s will cease.

They are advising if your car is due an MOT to book as soon as you can.

Please be assured we will be following social distancing requirements, & all cars will be wiped with antibacterial wipes & seat covers used.

Covid-19

With the lockdown easing slightly, more customers are returning for MOT’s as normal, we have seen some horror sights which would of remained on the road had they decided to go with the extension.

The cost of an MOT is cheaper than the fine, if the car is found to be unroadworthy.

We would like to ensure that our customers know that their safety and our staff’s are top priority so have made several changes to ensure social distancing is adhered to. We’ve received a great review on google commending us on the measures put in place.

COVID-19

We are operating at revised working hours of business, this is to ensure that Key Workers can still get on the roads safely.

Please phone us between the hours of 9am-4pm to book an appointment. We cannot do drop in service.

The government has stated that stations can remain open for tests and we are following all self distancing guidelines. NHS staff, carers and other key workers will be given priority.

It is the owners responsibility to ensure the vehicle is in a ‘roadworthy’ condition & safe to drive , even if your MOT has been extended by the government.
You can be fined up to £2500, banned from driving & 3 points for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.

We are working strictly to the government rules on social distancing, not only for our customers but also our staff.

We are still open for anyone needing an mot which has expired prior to the new guidelines of the 30th March

The government has issued these new guidelines .

Please however check the expiry date of your mot, as these new rules apply from the 30th March, any vehicle expiring prior to that or one which needs a retest will still require an mot.

We are therefore at the moment still open

What will happen if your car, van or motorcycle’s MOT due date is on or after 30 March 2020, including what you need to do to keep your vehicle safe to drive.

COVID19- We are still open for now and are experiencing a great demand. We must ask that you please follow government guidelines of social distancing including maintaining a 2 meter distance between individuals. We do have an outside waiting area alongside the indoor waiting room.
All staff are wearing gloves & regularly sanitising equipment.
Please respect this decision so we can stay open for as long as possible.
