Blue skies, plenty of sunshine and a fresh westerly wind are creating great conditions for sailing.

The strong winds from yesterday have been steadily dying down, and spectators watching from their boats should have a fantastic afternoon at the Festival of Flight show in Ayr.

River Ayr Walk

Bertholders and visitors to Troon Yacht Haven can enjoy the River Ayr Walk, a picturesque route with plenty of riverside scenery to explore near the historic town of Ayr.

It’s bramble season, so you may spot plenty of wild blackberries along the way. The River Ayr also has a number of small pebble beaches, which make nice spots to stop and enjoy the view.

The walk is easily accessible by car, bus or train and can also be extended to include a walk to Auchincruive Estate.

Enjoy this great local walk to enjoy while you’re staying at Troon Yacht Haven.
