Ocean Youth Trust Scotland’s Open Day coming up soon!

🥁 Calling all youth groups, schools, funders, businesses and community members in Ullapool...

We’re running an open day!

📍Ullapool Harbour
📅Saturday 4th July 2026
🕐 10am - 2pm

This is a brilliant opportunity to see how we support young people through youth work on the waves, with a tour of Alba Venturer, activities and refreshments. 🤩

Our sea staff will be on hand to chat throughout the day. So, whether you’re a business looking for a sponsorship partnership, a school looking for outdoor residentials, a youth group looking for a transformational youth work experience, or just curious about our work, come along and find out how we can get you onboard!

What makes a great marina? ⚓️ It’s the people, the community, and the wildlife that make it such a special place.

Here at Troon, we’re lucky to have a wonderful community and plenty of wildlife around us. Well, Nev, our marina dog, can hardly be considered wildlife, but he certainly enjoys chasing the ducks and birds around the marina!

And when the sun is shining, it really is a beautiful place to be. ☀️⚓🐾

West Pier vessel traffic lights currently out of service

ABP Troon has advised that the West Pier vessel traffic lights are temporarily extinguished due to a technical fault. Berth holders and visiting vessels are requested to exercise extra caution when entering or leaving the harbour and contact Troon Port Control on VHF Channel 14 prior to arrival or departure.

Further updates will be issued once the lights have been restored.

Our berth holders, visiting boats and guests at our Salt Lodge Hotel have been making the most of the glorious sunshine this past week and thoroughly enjoying every moment of it! Here’s hoping the beautiful weather stays a little longer.

Is it getting warm and sunny where you are?
It feels quite warm here in Troon, but the sun is still a little shy today. No matter the weather, we’ve definitely got that Friday feeling! ☀️😊

Thank you to The Scottish Islands Peaks Race for bringing such an amazing atmosphere to Troon every year! We know how much work happens behind the scenes to make it all possible, and we’re very proud to play a small part in such a special event. ⛵

An especially huge thank you to all the fine (and endlessly patient) people at Troon Yacht Haven and . You have no idea the amount of chaos we cause for them… we don’t either, we only see a fraction of it! And yet they welcome us back every year with smiling faces. You are, and always will be, our very favourite finish line.
