We had this lovely very low 51000 mile t4 calypso in today for a new skf cambelt kit. This one was quite lucky as the cambelt was starting to shred its self. We also fitted a new engine temp sensor and aux belt

The dog house T4 recovery truck made a rare appearance for some maintenance work. We have noticed over the past few weeks the old girl has been loosing some coolant and had a annoying ticking sound under load . So what did we find
The engine temperature sensor housing was leaking and the radiator hoses were damaged from jubilee clips. And the diesel pump tensioner had failed so we quickly got these issues sorted before a 220 mile recovery the next day .
New engine temp sensor housing
Two new temperature sensors
New expansion tank
Fresh coolant
A full new set of radiator hoses
New skf timing belt kit
And then back to recovering

Vw t4 2.5 tdi that we had in for a new cambelt and mot. Unfortunately this one was not plain sailing but we got there in the end
