Today is Coming Out Day and we want to send love to all LGBTQ+ people whether you are out, out in part, not out, or only out to some people. ❤️ It is not about LGBTQ+ people having or lacking courage. It is about all of us, LGBTQ+ people and allies, as individuals and as a society, helping to create spaces in which more people feel safe and able to embrace the joy of simply being able to be themselves. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

It’s vitally important, not only for our sport but for all sports, to consider the stark differences in rights and protections for the LGBTQ+ community in all of the territories it visits if events are to be truly welcoming and inclusive for everyone. That is a collective responsibility.

One of the ongoing projects Racing Pride has embarked on, alongside its partners in F1 and drawing on the personal experiences of its community, is to provide meaningful advice for LGBTQ+ people involved in the sport (whether they are out or not) and to allies on the different circuits on the F1 calendar and practical steps which can be taken to support travelling LGBTQ+ participants.

Some venues are in countries where the LGBTQ+ community can rightly feel celebrated. For instance, the recent race in Spain which consistently ranks as one of the best countries in the world for LGBTQ+ rights. Sadly, this is not the case for all of the venues on the calendar. That is just one of the reasons why Racing Pride’s work in this area is so impactful. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

This weekend sees the first ever Spanish Grand Prix hosted at the brand new track in Madrid! 🇪🇸 Fernando Alonso, driving for our friends Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team, will be a home hero for many Spaniards watching.

The team has given consistent and fantastic support to the LGBTQ+ community, having been the first f1 team to support Racing Pride and everything we’re trying to achieve. As recently as this pride month, our community gathered at the Aston Martin Technology Campus to celebrate pride with the team.

While this season has been challenging at times on track, we hope they have a fantastic weekend in Madrid! 💚🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Representation matters — and if we want motorsport to change, we need to be there for the people shaping its future.

As young people return to education this September and begin thinking about their futures, it’s vital that LGBTQ+ people can see themselves represented in motorsport and know they belong at every level.

From STEM on Track and Greenpower to our annual Racing Pride Aston Martin Award within Formula Student, this month’s opinion piece by our CEO Matthew-Harriet Randall focuses on how Racing Pride is powering diversity and inclusion from the ground up.

We’re committed to supporting the next generation, championing allyship, and creating a more inclusive future for our sport.

From four wheels to two…..We couldn’t stay away from Silverstone for long!

Our team had an amazing time back at the home of British motorsport for MotoGP™: meeting community members, soaking in the atmosphere and giving out another 600 rainbow wristbands across the weekend 🎉

No matter what series you’re supporting, or what type of motorsport you love, you are welcome with us 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Each year, Racing Pride teams up with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team to offer an award for the Formula Student UK team which has done the most to promote diversity & inclusion. Teams present both their internal and initiatives and the winners receive an exclusive experience with Aston Martin Aramco Formula One™ Team. The quantity and quality of applications is increasing every year, and we’re proud of the activities the award is not only recognising but also encouraging within student motorsport.

Congratulations to the team from Loughborough University - first time winners of this award!

The British Grand Prix at is one of the highlights of our year. It’s an amazing opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new members of our community, and share the joy of LGBTQ+ visibility at one of the biggest weekends in motorsport.

Creating a welcoming, inclusive, and safe space for everyone will always be at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s a conversation, a smile, or a small show of support, those moments can make a real difference.

Over the weekend, we handed out 800 rainbow wristbands and 1,500 LGBTQ+ stickers. Every wristband worn and every sticker displayed helps show that our community belongs in motorsport—and lets someone know they’re not alone. 🏁🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, shared your stories, volunteered, or showed your support 💜

We are delighted to have once again celebrated Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ alongside at their state of the art Technology Campus.

It was a vibrant evening of discussion and community, capped by the opportunity for our members to look behind the scenes at how an F1 car is designed and built.

The Team’s commitment to inclusion since the beginning of our partnership 5 years ago has been unwavering and we are beyond grateful to Aston Martin for continuing to provide space for these important opportunities to come together. 💚
