📌 A quick note about our welding repairs

We wanted to pop this post at the top of our page so anyone bringing a vehicle to us for welding knows what to expect from the finished repair. 🚗

🔧 All repaired areas are finished in epoxy primer to protect the new and exposed metal.

🔧 On underside/lower areas, we may also apply stone chip or underseal where required or agreed, matching into the existing factory finish where possible.

🔧 On visible repairs, if we have a similar colour available, we may apply a temporary topcoat for a little extra protection and to make the repair less noticeable until final paintwork. This is not colour matched.

🎨 We are not a bodyshop, so we don't offer final bodywork preparation, smoothing or professional paintwork. Visible repairs such as arches and sills will still require final preparation and painting by a bodyshop if a fully finished cosmetic result is wanted.

If you're ever unsure what's included with your repair, just ask. We're always happy to explain. 😁

We have some very exciting news… WE’RE MOVING! 🎉

But don’t worry, we’re not going far, just a few minutes down the road! 😆

From the 1st of September, you’ll find us at our new unit, giving us more room to continue growing the business and doing what we love.

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has supported our little business, recommended us, shared our work or trusted us with their vehicles. We really appreciate it and wouldn’t be doing this without you all. 🥰

We’ll still be working from our current unit until the end of August, with business as usual from our new workshop from 1st September.

If you’re booked in with us from 1st September onwards, don’t worry, we’ll send you a reminder closer to your booking to make sure you know where to find us! 😊

Need an excuse to get out of work? Maybe buy a campervan 🤭

A lovely customer of ours, who uses their camper whilst working away from home, had the propshaft fail. Thankfully it happened close to home rather than hundreds of miles away, so it was recovered straight to us.

When it let go, it damaged the exhaust by snapping it away from the turbo fl**ge and flattening the tailpipe where it exits the side of the van. Luckily, the damage wasn't as bad as it could have been!

We fitted a new propshaft, repaired the exhaust, checked it over and got it back on the road ready for its next trip.

The video in the comments is from one of the wheel bearings we replaced recently... it was definitely letting everyone know it wanted changing! 😅

As if one noisy bearing wasn't enough, the first photo shows another one we replaced had completely destroyed itself internally. The bearing cage had broken apart, leaving the ball bearings loose inside the hub. 🫣

We've had lots of mechanical work coming through the doors recently, and we've been absolutely loving it. Wheel bearings, bushes, exhaust flexis, servicing, diagnostics and all sorts of running issues have been keeping us busy.

Safe to say we've been in our element lately! 😄

Sorry we've been a bit quiet on here lately, we've been flat out (thankfully for all the right reasons😅)

Here's a lovely Scimitar that came in for a complete exhaust system recently. Built to the customer's exact requirements, the new system was fabricated as a like-for-like replacement using their chosen materials and silencers to preserve the car's original sound and character.

Some vehicles mean far more than just getting from A to B.🤗

This 1970’s VW Transporter camper has been part of the family for many years and holds many memories for its owners. With future trips planned, including Scotland, the rear arch corrosion needed repairing properly to keep it on the road for years to come.

We understand it can be a big decision trusting someone new with a vehicle like this, so we appreciate the opportunity to carry out the work.

We’re also big fans of the Porsche engine conversion - giving this classic camper a little more poke for the road ahead.

It’s been great seeing so many well-loved vehicles coming through our doors lately - we’re always grateful to be trusted with them.

Would your vehicle pass its MOT today? 🤔

This Renault Master came in with both front jacking points heavily corroded - something that would have resulted in an MOT failure.

We carried out structural welding repairs to both sides, cutting out the corrosion and fabricating new sections to restore strength and integrity to MOT standard.

After the work was completed, the van went on to pass its MOT with flying colours ✅

Unfortunately we only managed to grab photos of one side after completing the other, but both sides received the same repair 👌
