An update for you all.
The BGS site is now being used by the NHS which is good to know its being used for something important. Also every single BGS staff member has found work.. 👏🏼👏🏼
RC body works and Car keys torbay still operate from the same site.

The garage unfortunately never got taken over by anyone.
however if you enjoyed the service you experienced from BGS then you can find me at Abbot Commercials in Newton Abbot.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce that we have gone into administration and the company is to be liquidated.
This is mainly due to Covid-19 and the collapse of shearings coaches, our Co tenant. Our over heads would have become too high.
We would like to thank all of our brilliant customers over the years for your support. And also thank our staff for all their hard work.

Hello,
We are still working to a reduced capacity and looking at ways to increase our availability over the coming weeks.
We will update when this will be but will still continue to distance ourselves and be mindful on how we deal with vehicles going forward. The reception remains shut and our hours are limited at the moment starting from 9AM until 3.30PM Mon-Fri
and we are currently not opening for Saturday appointments.

We are asking for card payments to be made over the phone and to make sure you have made an appointment before arriving at the garage. We cant get to every phone call at the moment due to only having 1 person managing bookings and phones but we will do our best to respond as soon as possible.

Hi everyone. We hope you are all well. Just a quick update.
We have been really busy with essential fleet vehicles such as emergency gas engineers, sainsburys delivery vehicles, utilities engineers and care workers as well as some of our valued retail customers. Because of this we have welcomed back another technician from furlough to help with demand. But we are still working with a reduced workforce. So we really appreciate your patience whilst we carefully plan our workload. We are booked up for next week but have space week Commencing the 11th. 👍🏼

⚠️ LEAVING YOUR MOT FOR 6 MONTHS? ⚠️
Following the governments 6 months extension to your MOT date, you may want to have a little think on weather it's worth the wait. One of our regular customers decided to have an MOT regardless of the extension. As a result it was found the brakes had very little life left, certainly not 6 months. You can clearly see the friction material had almost disappeared on the pads, only leaving the backing plate.

At the moment we have limited availability but we will do our best to cope with demand when we are back to normal.

Whilst our cars are not doing much at this difficult time, it may be a good idea to start the car and leave it to idle where appropriate so your battery gets a charge from the alternator, to avoid a flat battery and non start when your car is needed. Although don't leave the car unattended.

UPDATE ON COVID-19 ⚠️
Today we have taken steps to help stop the spread of Covid-19, From tonight we will have placed 90% of our staff on furlough but will remain open mainly to support key workers but also to enable those who need thier cars stay on the road for shopping trips etc.
This decision will reduce the contact between our 12 staff members, customers and delivery drivers to help us all get back to normal as soon as possible.
This will be in force for at least 3 weeks. We haven't taken this decision lightly and will aim to get back to normal service as soon as possible. Please be patient with us whilst we run limited staff during this period.
We encourage you all to make the effort and help stop the virus as many businesses have made difficult decisions and sacrifices.
