Moto-Cycle Racing Yamaha travelled south west for round 4 of the Motul ACU British Championship on the weekend at Landrake.

MX2 Qualifying Jack was improving throughout the session and he set a lap time that was good enough for P26 and he was happy with that. Adam had a mechanical with his race bike and with feeling under the weather he decided to withdraw from the days action.

MX1 Qualifying Jason set a lap time good enough for P6, he couldn’t find any comfort to really push so he was happy to get that.

MX2 Race 1 Jack had a bad jump but went around the outside of turn 1 and made some ground up, he settled into a good rhythm and pushed towards the points. He battled for P21 until a small tip off on the last lap he finished in a season best P22.

MX1 Race 1 Jason was fighting for top 7 most of the race but again just couldn’t get comfortable to push the maximum and finished in a good P10.

MX2 Race 2 Jack had a bad start and collided with another riders bike then a red flag. A staggered restart to race 2 but Jack struggled to find the flow after a brief break and a late bike issue meant he had to pull into the pits and resulted in a DNF.

MX1 Race 2 Jason had a good start coming around in P6 but an early mistake cost him time and positions. Took him awhile to get going after an awkward heavy fall. Started making moves and got back to P13.

Overall up and down weekend for us but improvements being all across the board. Jack finding his pace and rhythm again and Jason is improving his race fitness week after week. Adam will have a few weeks off now to recover from a rough few weeks.

We look forward to round 5 at Monster Mountain on June 14th. Thank you to our supporters and sponsors who make all this possible!

Moto-Cycle Racing Yamaha travelled to the immaculate Lyng for round 3 of the Motul ACU British Championship on the weekend.

MX2 Qualifying Adam Collings after a heavy crash at Blaxhall the weekend before feeling the effects managed to get straight through with P11 in his group. Jack Meara although he had set a time for P17 in his group the organisers decided to change the rules that morning so that meant Jack would have to go through the LCQ.

MX1 Qualifying Jason Meara set a lap early on to secure P10 and he was happy with that so got him self ready for the races in that session.

MX2 LCQ Jack had a problem with his clutch which meant he had it all to do at the start. After a brilliant ride despite the ongoing clutch issue he managed to get to P9 just behind P8 by the chequered flag, meaning Jack was first reserve for the races.

MX2 Race 1 Adam had a bad start so lots of work to do, managed to get to P23 before it was red flagged. Jack was ready for race 1 but didn’t get a slot.

MX1 Race 1 Jason had a bad start ending the first lap in P20 he put a charge on and worked his way to P7 by the chequered flag showing his speed and race craft.

MX2 Race 2 Adam had a much better start being just outside the top 10, fighting for the top 15 most the race until the pain started to be to much and he lost his rhythm a bit. He dropped back to P20 but still a fantastic result considering he wasn’t sure he’d ride going into the weekend. Jack managed to get a race in due to an injured rider, after not seeing the track since the LCQ it was always going to be an uphill task but he dug deep and rode well all race.

MX1 Race 2 Jason had a much better start going up the start straight in the top 6, he pushed as long as he could but used a lot of energy in race 1 and he came home in P9.

Overall for the team we’re happy with the riders grit and determination. A few things to work on for each rider but we aren’t far off where we know they belong.

We look forward to round 4 at Landrake in two weeks time. Thank you to our supporters and sponsors who make all this possible!

Moto-Cycle Yamaha travelled to the windy Preston Docks for round 2 of the Motul ACU British Motocross Championship. The team was back up running all three riders this weekend.

MX2 qualifying both Adam and Jack were in group A. Adam got a few good laps in early just lacked some pace where we wanted so he looked towards the races but he was P13 in his group. Jack just missed out going straight through to the races in P19 by half a second.

MX1 qualifying Jason secured P12, after a year out of riding at that intensity he got arm pump quickly and was happy to leave it at that.

MX2 LCQ Jack was lined up for the last chance qualifier, he struggled to find the pace he knows he has and unfortunately didn’t make the cut. He knows he can do it and he’ll come back stronger for Lyng.

MX2 Race 1 Adam had a good start on the inside and was laying third but lost the front on the corner and dropped it getting run over. He picked himself up and pushed hard to get back to 20th when the race was red flagged due to a downed rider.

MX1 Race 1 Jason had a good jump out the gate but got shut off immediately, coming around at the end of lap 1 in P20 he pushed hard to P13 by the end of the race.

MX2 Race 2 Adam had another good start sitting in P12 he dropped a few positions at around half way he was P16, pushing hard he made a silly mistake and slipped off falling back to P21. He put another big charge on to regain as many positions as he could and got back to P18 by the end.

MX1 Race 2 Jason had a mega start up the inside coming over the line in P2 behind Jeffery Herlings, he know it was going to be tough so he pushed as hard as he could for as long as he could eventually finishing the race in P14.

Adam was happy with his riding and pace he just needs to iron out some of the mistakes and he’ll be there fighting for top 10s no doubt.

Jason was happy with his riding just needs to work on bike fitness with not racing for a year, the intensity and fitness is what he needs to work on and he knows this. But overall extremely happy to be back racing.

Next round is the brilliant Lyng on the 3rd of May. Thank you to our supporters and sponsors who make all this possible!
