Very, very busy lately.

Full of timing chains, belts, clutches and engine replacements.

Had a few customers lately getting very lucky with slapping timing chains, somehow not taking out their entire engine, others not so lucky.

It's a good reminder to not to take a chance on them. Especially those wetbelt engines that are becoming more and more common.

Now offering wetbelt replacement for the 1.2 puretech engines found in the peugeot and vauxhalls.

This one came in with oil pressure issues caused by the pickup being blocked by the failing belt.

Luckily this one was saved, but you can see the issues these belts can cause. Completely blocked oil pickup and also some even in the vacuum pump.

Another happy customer 🧑‍🔧

Lovely 71 plate Ford Ranger with the dreaded 2.0 wetbelt. This one had a small amount of debris in the oil pickup at quite low milage, customer wanted it done for just piece of mind as these are common for breaking so so early.

First post in a long time. Still majorly busy over here.
Head gaskets, timing belts/chains, turbos and engine replacements. The most juicy work you could ask for.

Been doing plenty of the 2.0 for wetbelts lately, so many horror stories flying around about these.

Get intouch to get it replaced 👌

Eco boost/Eco boom.

This little Ford Fiesta was in for the dreaded wetbelt as it was on 85,000 miles.
Ford say these can go on well beyond that milage for the belt replacement. Not having any of that at all.

This belt had completely delaminated, big cracks were forming and the bits of belt were collecting in the strainer as you can see in pictures 3 and 4. When the strainer blocks, the oil pump cannot move oil around the engine properly, causing it to blow up in most cases along with taking lots of engine components with it, hence the nickname ecoboom, the inny engine parts want to be outy engine parts 😅. The strainer was about 50% blocked so it didn't have long to go until that happened.

All completed with genuine Ford parts including waterpump and auxiliary belt to go with it. A fresh oil+filter to go with it and the car is ready for the road. See you in 10,000miles for the next oil change.

Friday is here 🥳

Another wet belt rolling out the door, this one was done right on time, the timing belt was just about to start breaking down at 62,000 miles, found no bits in the sump which means it's been well looked after.

If you're not sure when yours was done, it's a good idea to do it for piece of mind so you know where you stand. Don't leave it to chance, it will bite you 😬

Get it booked in, get it done.

Ford transit 2.0

We loves a wetbelt... (apparently)

If you don't know if yours has been done, get it done. These don't last as long as Ford say they will, sometimes not even close. You don't want your workvan off the road for weeks for just a simple piece of rubber belt you overlooked.

Hello guys.

It's been a while since the last post.

So here's some spam pictures for you all. Bit of everything here. Mostly timing chains, belts and clutches though.

First off is the Land Rover inginium engine for timing chain, very in depth job with so much to take off.

Next up is the oil leak from hell on a VW caddy. This has been leaking for some time, it went up to one of these fast fit engine centres in London after snapping a timing belt, I've seen less saturated belts come off a Ford wet belt system. It was missing a huge blanking b**g in the side of the engine behind the timing cover. With some elbow grease and getting high from the cleaning products used it came out pretty good.

Next was timing chain on BMW 1 series +clutch and flywheel.

Insignia shredded timing belt due to waterpump seizing.

Kia sorrento clutch and flywheel

Mondeo full engine rebuild after just a simple water leak 🙄

Renault clio broken timing chain guide.

Too much to go into all of them but a picture paints a thousand words.
