Rising Costs Across the Global Tyre Supply Chain 📈

We've now seen an increase in price from almost every single tyre maker we deal with since the start of the Iran War, and insights shared with us by our partner Anlas highlight continued pressure across the global tyre industry, as ongoing conflict in the Middle East disrupts oil, energy, and raw material markets.

As a result, key inputs used in tyre manufacturing — including synthetic rubber, carbon black, process oils, and tyre cord — have seen sharp cost increases in recent weeks. These rises are now feeding directly into higher production costs across the global supply chain.

At the same time, escalating factory energy costs are adding further strain on manufacturers worldwide, alongside increasing costs of transportation.

Despite these challenges, Cambrian Tyres remains fully committed to supporting our customers. We continue to offer a comprehensive product portfolio across every price point — from value and mid-range options through to premium brands — ensuring flexibility for every customer need and budget.

Our focus remains clear: to work closely with our manufacturing partners to maintain supply, protect value wherever possible, and help our customers stay competitive in a rapidly changing market.

𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗧𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸! 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵🎉

Back in May 2016, I was given the opportunity to purchase Rentafford from Brian Higgins and Farrah Tillyer of Tyremarks.

Rentafford was already a well-established family-run business with more than 20 years of history behind it, built through the hard work and dedication of Brian, Si and Farrah.

Over the last decade, time has flown by, but one thing has remained exactly the same — the family-run ethos that has always been at the heart of the business.

With my mum Carolyn working alongside me and our lovely cleaner Paul, we have continued to focus on providing honest, reliable and friendly service to every customer who comes through our doors.

Customer service remains at the forefront of everything we do, alongside offering clean, reliable vehicles and clear, straightforward rentals without unnecessary complications.

Rentafford continues to proudly support local primary and secondary schools, youth clubs, church groups, scout groups, sports clubs, local businesses and countless private hirers across the area. Whether it is for local trips, holidays, work travel, moving house, tip runs, vehicle breakdowns, hen and stag weekends, sports events or even European travel, we are so proud to play a small part in helping people get where they need to go.

We would also like to thank all the local garages and parts suppliers who continue to support us with tyres, repairs, MOTs and servicing. Without their help, Rentafford simply would not stay on the road.

Most importantly, thank you to all of our loyal customers for your continued support over the last 10 years.

Great weekend for the TyreMarks - Diagnostic & Emissions Specialist motocross team. Started with the youngest, 4 year old Ruby-Mae entered her first race. A couple of off's in the 2nd race but she got straight back on and finished all 4 races, she took away the rider of the day trophy 🏆
6 year old Jaxon was the youngest racing the big track and improved massively in a very competitive group.
Reegan in the fast group started off with a 5th places and ended the day with an epic ride and a 3rd place finish 🏁🏁🏁
