Steve Jal Restorations

Steve Jal Restorations We are an award winning motorcycle restoration business. Motorcycles have always been our passion. Happy days. Today we are still just as nuts as ever!

Starting with stripped down mopeds which we scrambled around local fields until we fell off, ran out of fuel or the police turned up. We had great fun out running barking dogs and old ladies owners with bad tempers. As a result of our adventures we honed our riding skills, became expert in mad dog evasion techniques, clattering over pot holes, avoiding trees (not always) but making the police laugh rather than shout at us.

Bakker Suzuki GS1000.

It’s finally out of the workshop and running (sort of), needle to drop the carb needles a notch or two. Should be ok to run up at Stafford though, maybe have a play with it whilst there.

Any takers on this one?

Just about to start mucking about with this again. Nothing serious just timing and carbs.

Well I’m almost finished with this one. I’ve built it as a period endurance racer, engine is quite stock but with a light port job, Keihin CR31 tickler carbs, new Boyer Micro ignition and Harris headers with a Yoshi style tail
Pipe.

Just a little wiring to do then I can start the old girl up. Followed by a little flattening of paint and a coat of lacquer in a few weeks.

It’s turned out ok, not modified, just about everything on the bike is period late 1970’s - the 4 fin callipers are a tiny bit later but of the AP CP2696 range.
