We always have interesting additions to our exhibits and not just cars and motorcycles. We have some exciting and rare cycle additions, we have a tandem with a trailer and these were specifically designed for holiday camps, this particular example was used at Pontin’s in Brean.
Then there is the first Raleigh cycle with front suspension.
There is an extensive range of cycles around the Museum, including some of the very earliest examples.
A reminder we are open Tuesday to and including Saturday 9.30am to 4.00pm, we look forward to sharing these and all the other exhibits with you.

Our founder, Patrick Hawkins collection of cars was vast, from Ferrari’s to Mini Metro’s, of all his cars and a car he kept out to enjoy was his favourite, a MK1 Ford Capri 3000 GT XLR.
As he is sadly no longer with us to enjoy the car, we thought it only fitting that it should be in the Museum.
It is indeed a very special car, just one owner before Patrick and under 25,000 miles, it is in stunning original condition.
So pop in and see this and other rare cars and motorcycles. We are open today from 9.30am and close at 4.00pm.

Our Curator Tim York, is always looking at knew ways of displaying the exhibits so they can be enjoyed to their maximum, despite our space restraints. So Tim and our wonderful volunteers have had a change around on the first floor and as a result four cars are now able to be viewed to a much fuller extent.
So even if you are a regular visitor we can always surprise you with some changes to help make your visit even more enjoyable.

It was a year ago today our founder and creator of the Museum past away. it has felt like 10 years as he is so missed by us all.
His inspiration drives us all on to continue to run and develop the Museum in a way he would of liked, which we know he would want us to do. We think of him every day we spend at the Museum. We are determined to continue his dream and legacy. Rest in peace our very dear friend.
