Another busy week at SCP HQ. This week back to what we used to do most of, imports.

Had Alex’s lovely Galant VR4 in for a service and MOT. Gorgeous Blue EVO 9 in for an ABS issue, new brakes and then this mint modded Honda Stepwagon. A lineup you don’t see often.

If you know anything about brakes then you’ll know when the pedal goes to the floor….. that’s not good.

Had this come in the door, pedal to the floor, losing fluid and advised it needs new front pads.
Straight away I looked under the rear and see brake fluid dripping on the floor. Common on older cars with brake shoes set ups.

Thorough clean, new wheel cylinder, new brake shoes, bleed the brakes and it’s good to go.
Good pedal and no need to pump the pedal every time she stops.

Another week and another 3 haldex services. This one is from a VW T-ROC, less then 30k since last service, and look at the state of it.
These are supposed to be services every 40k on this model, but that filter was so blocked the pump wasn’t working correctly.

After the housing was cleaned, pump cleaned and a new filter fitted it’s just like new.

Been a manic few weeks at SC HQ. Catching up on a few jobs and getting project work done.

Of late we’ve been seeing a few cars with “full service history” but unfortunately we’ve found lots of parts that have evidently not been replaced and charged for. Take a look at this air filter, changed last year in a full service. There is now way that’s done the 6700 miles since last service.

We always keep parts to show customers what we have changed, sometimes asking to see them is wise.

It’s been a busy week at SCP HQ, catching up on jobs while still unpacking and sorting the workshop to how we want it. It’s been hard going but luckily we are getting there and have great customers.
Sadly today the weather has been shocking, but we’ve had these beauties outside to look at. Kinda looks like a mini VAG meet

Over the next few weeks we will be sharing loads of work we have done over the past 6-8 months but forgot to share it or not had time to.
It’s been a crazy time packing up while trying to still work and run a business but luckily we have had some understanding customers.

But have a picture of a random bumble bee, have a lovely Easter all.

Had the BMW coupe in few months ago with the paint literally blowing off as he drove. Painted the boot, solved the issue’s and a happy customer.

Last time I saw the workshop totally empty and freshly painted was 2003, and that’s because we did it. Wasn’t paint in any service when we moved in, looks good now

Well today is a sad day marks an end of an era.
We handed back the keys to the building that was our HQ for the past 22+ years. When we moved in it was an empty shell, pretty much a derelict building. Months of decorating, wiring, plumbing and fitting out our performance parts shop to get it ready for the open day back in 2004, people said we were mad but we did it anyway.
It’s seen us through a massive credit crunch. 3 lockdowns, 2 new owners many ups and downs, and even more good times with the most amazing people making so many memories, back before social media we went out and did stuff, built crazy stuff and had the best times.

Well we had to do it all over again. Lots of decorating to hand the place back. Hopefully someone will enjoy Hanger 144 as much as I did.

Thanks to everyone that’s been a part of this journey over the past 22 years and hope to see you all when the new place is fully running.

I have to thank so many people for helping do work to hand the building back, it needed a lot doing.

Massive thanks to Mark Holburn and Bruce Jeans of MH home services, you’ve been amazing with all the building work, any job I’ve needed done was just got on with.

Phil Dean and his guys of Dean Leadwork for all their help and support and skills.

Josh Penny for his plumbing skills last minute. Chase Billet for electrical work and safety test. Paul at ARC for the asbestos survey.

Biggest thanks to Nigel Hood. Without his pickup, horsebox, knowledge of stuff and constant help I’d be royally screwed and probably just given up as this was a massive task to do in the time. Thankyou.

After 22 years of seeing our amazing customers at there we have moved and will be welcoming you all to our new HQ
