Congratulations to a Abad Jinna Sahib on passing the Cat C test today. Passing at the 1st attempt and with only 2 minor driving faults. After a very stressful week it was an excellent way to bounce back. Good luck for the future and shushing you and your family good health.

Congratulations to a camera shy Jamie Elliott on passing his Cat C1 test on Thursday. Passing at the 1st attempt and with a PERFECT drive, 0 driver faults. The examiner adding it was never in doubt with an excellent, considered drive.

We now have our own in house Mod 4 assessor who is DVSA approved. Therefore we have more flexibility and availability to arrange Mod 4 tests, either as part of a HGV training course or just for the Mod 4 on its own.

After a great weeks training with Alan Branchflower, who passed the Mod 3a reversing test last week, he has today successfully passed his Class 2 Mod 3b on road test.

Congratulations on a brilliant drive and well deserved pass.

So here’s the start of the new DSFL family. From teaching/coaching 17 - 25 year old learners to training our next generation of HGV drivers (25+) With our extensive knowledge of understanding young people’s needs allowing them to overcome anxiety sometimes, ultimately going on to become absolutely brilliant drivers. Our HGV driver training program actually explores what real truck drivers have to contend with during a normal week on the road. We do a lot more than just give you the bare bones skill to get you through your HGV test. We teach you how to semi-couple, blind-side reverse onto a real supermarket bay and how to cope with 3:00am starts (yes sometimes our training will have you up at 3:00am) Sorry trainees, this is real life trucking. My Volvo is now officially part of the DSFL family in her gorgeous livery. Booked our first test in Exeter for mid August. Young Cliff from Torquay will be starting his HGV experience end of July. Hectic period before that however as we organise a “Taster Day” up at Smeatharpe Stadium in Somerset. Any “wanna be” Truckers are more than welcome to join us for a few hours having a drive around the track. Full range of vehicles will be available to try and I’ll be pushing out invites in the next few days. There’ll be a truckers breakfast and coffee on tap for all visitors.
