🚗 A LITTLE PIECE OF BRITISH MOTORING HISTORY! 🇬🇧

Today at Wood Street Garage, we had the pleasure of looking after this stunning 1993 Jaguar XJS 4.0, finished in a beautiful metallic red. ❤️

With just 7,000 miles on the clock, this is a seriously special example of Jaguar’s iconic grand tourer! 😍

The car came in for a service and some MOT failure work, which turned out to be nothing more than a simple handbrake adjustment! 👌

It’s always a pleasure to work on something a little different, and finding a car like this with such incredibly low mileage is a real treat.

A proper old-school Jaguar, with timeless styling and plenty of character. They certainly don’t make them like this anymore! 🐆

🔧 BMW E92 M3 —

We had this 2010 BMW E92 M3 in with a couple of issues that needed some proper attention.

🛑 Brakes:
The brakes had previously been replaced elsewhere, but unfortunately far too much copper grease had been used, resulting in contamination of the discs and pads. We stripped the brakes down, thoroughly cleaned everything and also cleaned the slider bolts to make sure everything was moving and operating correctly.

🔧 VANOS fault:
The car also had an engine management light on with a VANOS fault. We removed the VANOS solenoids and found the filters heavily restricted with contamination. These were thoroughly cleaned before refitting, giving the VANOS system the oil pressure it needs, and the best chance of operating as it should.

It’s always worth remembering that more grease doesn’t necessarily mean better — using the wrong amount or applying it where it shouldn’t be can cause its own problems.

Another proper inspection, repair and preventative bit of maintenance carried out to keep this V8 M3 performing the way it should. 💪

We haven’t posted for a while as it’s been a very busy few weeks, from servicing, repairs, engine changes to recoveries, here are some of the cars that we have been dealing with over the past few weeks.

This Audi was apparently serviced regularly by a friend for some cash and a few packs of ci******es.
It was brought to us for diagnostics as the engine oil light was coming on, as you can see the oil filter is completely blocked and doesn’t look like it’s been changed in years.
Many engine flushes and a few oil changes, it seems to be running okay now, time will tell.

This is Audi S7 had to be stripped down just to gain access to replace the water pump. 😳👨‍🔧
