Hockenheim
Our first outing with the F1 cars came at the famous German Hockenheim circuit. Steve Hartley would qualify 5th and Simon Fish lower down the field.
In Race 1 Steve had an unfortunate spin in the McLaren ending his race. Sadly, for Simon, an unavoidable accident with a car that spun in front of him ended with major damage. Fortunately both drivers were unharmed but Simon’s weekend was over.
Race 2 saw Steve start from the back and battle his way through to 5th at the flag in a brilliant drive.
Next stop Brands Hatch.

Thruxton
Visiting the fastest UK circuit for the first time was an exciting prospect. Our weekend was mixed. The best part being team member Ethan Hall winning his first race in the 116 Trophy on the Sunday in dominant fashion. Earlier, new racer and team member, Tom Law, had secured pole position in qualifying.
On the previous day in the 120 Coupe Cup George Heler bagged a brace of second places with Anthony finishing 4th with some car niggles.
We ran 8 cars over the weekend and all of the team, both racers and mechanics performed brilliantly.

Brands Hatch.
The team had an amazing weekend at Brands Hatch for the first round of the 120 Coupe Cup and 116 Trophy. Anthony grabbed a first and second in the Coupe Cup on Saturday followed up by a 3rd place in the 116 Trophy on Sunday with team mate Alan. The extended team supporting 12 cars ran perfectly all weekend with great performances from all of the drivers and team members

Anglesey Race of Remembrance 2024.

The team had a fabulous weekend at the prestigious 12 hour race at Anglesey. We ran 2 cars in the event. Testing Friday morning followed by day and night qualifying led to us lining up P1 and P2 in class for the race start at 3pm Saturday. Some great long stints by both teams gave us a solid P1 and P2 by 10pm to carry forward to the restart on Sunday morning. The morning arrived with changeable and challenging conditions and both cars continued to dominate throughout the day. When the flag finally waved after 12 long hours of racing the Harry Ormerod, Alan Corfield, Sam Yates and George Heler #21 car crossed the line in P1 with Toby O’Reilly, Lewis Tindall, and Mack Priestwood #34 car in P2

It’s an arduous race with many opportunities for things to go wrong but in our case the whole team performed at an outstanding level to dominate the BMW 116 class. Well done to the boys Dan, Dom, Mitchell, Elliot, James and Chris. We will be back in 2025!

Brands Hatch 116 Trophy

The first race of the year saw us at the short Brands Hatch circuit with changeable weather conditions. This years team comprise Mack Priestwood, Toby O’Reilly teamed with Lewis Tindall and Anthony racing on his own for this one.

In the two Sprint races Mack would drive a commanding race 1 to take victory and in race 2 he fought to a great 2nd place in challenging conditions. Toby was a creditable 13th in both races and after a long layoff that was an encouraging result. Anthony sat out the sprint races but tested the newly rebuilt 120 cup car in a different series with great reliability and two strong finishes.

Sunday saw 42 Trophy cars out in qualifying. Mack would take P3 with Anthony in P5 and Toby/Lewis P8. Conditions were challenging but a great quali result for the team.

The 90 min race was frantic with multiple shunts and safety cars with one for Toby who was shoved off the circuit early on. Once he was towed from the gravel he was on his way. At the flag Mack had secured a good P2 with Anthony driving the race of his life to secure P3. Toby and Lewis battled on after the early incident to claim a fighting finish. Lots of silverware and celebrations followed for the team at ASR including Mitchell, Dom and Elliot.

Silverstone Festival 2023 - Back on the podium!

After a challenging season, for various reasons, with the F1 McLaren we arrived at Silverstone hoping for a turnaround. In qualifying Steve put in a storming lap to grab P2 in the last 5 minutes in dry conditions.
Saturdays race was a solid performance with our man having a great race to finish a creditable 2nd.
Sunday was a completely different day with rain arriving just before the race. Playing safe with a wet tyre choice, Steve had a podium place in sight but during some intense battling dropped back a little. A storming last few laps brought him home in 4th. At last we had a solid weekend. Thanks to all of the team who helped to bring this all together. Silverstone International 20/8/2023
A busy weekend for the team with the BMW's at Silverstone. Saturday saw 2 sprint races with Anthony out in the 120i Coupe Cup car. Unfortunately in race 1 the engine failed. Better news for Mack Priestwood who brought his 116 home in a first and second place in the two races - another amazing set of results for the young hot shot
Sunday was the 90 minute 116i Trophy race with some 45 identical Trophy cars . Mack started P1 with an amazing job in qualifying. He would go on to finish a great P4 after serving a 30 second success penalty for winning last time out. Anthony and Alan had a challenging qualifying session and lined up P11. A battling drive by both drivers netted a P5 finish, first of the two-driver teams to cross the line. Anthony and Alan both think it's about time the Trophy series had a "masters" section for the more mature/experienced drivers!!😀

Snetterton 29/30 August

The team rolled in to Snetterton last weekend for a long weekend of testing and racing.

Friday testing was a challenging day with the newly built 120 Coupe Cup car developing some issues at the end of the day. The 116 Trophy car also needing urgent overnight work on set up. Meanwhile our newest young teammate, Mack Priestwood was flying in the #173

Saturday brought 2 sprint races and Anthony and Alan elected to do one race each in the 116. Alan managed an 8th to 3rd in race one narrowly missing out on the P2 on the last lap. Mack drove a storming race to his first win in the series. Race 2 saw Mack come in 2nd and Anthony in 8th.

Sunday was a new day and with a bumper entry of 45 Trophy cars it was going to be challenging in qualifying. Mack did a great job with P4 and Anthony/Alan would line up in P7. The race started in dry conditions with both cars making good progress in the opening laps. Alan would go on to do a long stint before handing over to Anthony who brought the car home a creditable 4th overall. Mack drove a brilliant race to claim the victory by 27 seconds, securing his first 116 Trophy win and we think the first of many!

Thanks as always to the whole team who worked their socks off all weekend Daisy, Elliot and Mitchell.

Finally thanks to all of the other competitors, guys and girls up and down the pit lane who help to make this one of the most enjoyable and competitive race series’ in the UK Gaz Shocks 116 Trophy Mack Priestwood Anthony Seddon Racing Alan Corfield Rob Willsmore
