Our workshop calendar is open for spring bookings, folks! 🤩

Whether you want to learn the basics of motorcycle maintenance or focus on something specific with your bike, you can now book in for a 1:1 or 2:1 session with us in our Staffordshire workshop.

You can also book in for supervised workshop space – ideal if you’d like to do some work on your own bike but don’t currently have the tools, space, or confidence to do it alone.

We’re currently taking bookings from now until the end of April. Limited slots available, so nab your spot while you can!

🛠️ Ladies’ Day 2025 – cancelled (for now) 🛠️

A quick update from us. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve unfortunately had to cancel this year’s Ladies’ Day, which was due to take place on Saturday 13th September.

If you’ve already bought a ticket, don’t worry: full refunds are on the way and will be processed shortly.

We’re really hoping to bring the event back even bigger and better in the future, and we’ll be sure to let you know when we do!

Last weekend’s happy customer: Steve 😄

Steve got stuck into checking tyre pressures, chain tension, and removing + cleaning brake pads – plus a bit of bonus tinkering on Kate’s new bike to finish up.

And of course, Aisha 🐾 was on hand to make sure everything was up to standard.

A multimeter might look a bit intimidating, but it’s a really handy bit of kit for diagnosing electrical issues on your bike – like checking for a flat battery.

Come and remove the mystery around this overlooked tool at one of the following sessions:

All the gear… no idea? 😅

New two-wheel experience for me at the weekend—first time off-road, and first time on this bike too.

We headed to a motocross circuit (bit of a baptism of mud rather than fire 😂) with a close family member who knows what he’s doing, along with some of his mates. They were all so encouraging and made it a brilliant day.

Very different to the type of riding I’m used to, but had a fantastic time. Loads to learn, but already itching to go again.

Tips always welcome! 🤗

A few old track day photos for you 📸😃

I was looking through a few pics with my sister at the weekend and came across these. This green bike with the white front is a Kawasaki ZX7R—pretty sure that these snaps are from Rockingham, but not 100%. I also had a Kawasaki ZXR400 and a Suzuki RGV 250, both dedicated track bikes.

Track days did SO much for my confidence. I would recommend them to anyone. I only ever rode in the novice group, but they really developed my riding and I got to ride at some awesome circuits—Mallory Park, Donnington Park, Oulton Park, Silverstone, and Cadwell Park. I also did the Ron Haslam Race School at Donnington Park, which was a great experience.

Next up: off-road riding. Never done it before, so any tips or advice very welcome..!

Our Spring Motorcycle Maintenance Taster Sessions!

Learn the essentials of bike maintenance, meet fellow riders, and get a feel for what it’s like to do a workshop with Ratchet & Ride.

These 2‑hour taster sessions are suitable for riders of all levels (and genders!) looking to improve their maintenance skills in a relaxed setting.

📅 Upcoming dates:
• Saturday, 29th March – Elford Village Hall (10am–12pm)
• Saturday, 19th April – Derrington Village Hall (10am–12pm)

🔧 What we’ll cover:
✅ Essential daily checks to keep your bike safe
✅ How to use a multimeter for basic electrical troubleshooting
✅ Everything in a chilled, hands‑on session with plenty of time for Q&A

💰 £15 per person
