Busy last couple of weeks, from engine rebuilding to timing chains, hydraulic lifters and clutches, we were quite busy. Trying to stay safe and hydrated these past few day was a bit of a challenge. Engine seized on the motorway. Lack of engine oil.
Before proceeding to fitting a new engine, we spent a few hours to find out what happened to the old engine. The culprit here is the turbocharger, that decided to reroute the engine oil into the air intake. Hefty bill because of a small oil seal.

After arriving in a cloud of white smoke and with lack of power, we proceeded to change the turbocharger cartridge on our friend's 3 series. Balanced at 150k rpm, we fitted the brand new turbo core keeping the costs down. 260£, parts and labour included. Robert, enjoy your car.

A repair done just in time.
Customer complained about jerky gear changes and loss of power through the torque converter.
At fault the well known 7G -Tronic Mercedes transmission fitted to the E class.
Oil and filter changed, all the seals inside the mechatronic unit, all the valves cleaned and now we have a happy customer.
