We're talking all things menopause at Arval UK 💚

This week, we recognised with an inspiring session from Rae-Marie, a certified Menopause Champion and holistic wellbeing specialist.

Rae-Marie shared practical tips and honest insights to help us understand menopause better, breaking down the stigma and encouraging open, supportive conversations.

At Arval UK, we’re all about supporting each other through every stage of life.

But we don't just raise awareness of the menopause one day a year.

We have our very own Menopause Group with trained Menopause Champions, as well as monthly Meno Café sessions, which give our people a relaxed space to chat, share stories and connect. ☕

What a summer it’s been at Arval UK! ☀️

This year we hosted our third Sustainability Day all about making sustainable choices and bringing our people and local community together.

Our people, partners, suppliers, and local charities joined us to:

• share ideas on making everyday choices more sustainable
• celebrate the amazing work of our employee resource groups (ERGs), partners, suppliers and local charities
• talk about how each of us can make a difference, both at work and at home

We’re excited to celebrate a huge milestone with our partner, Vodafone UK!

By 2026, Vodafone UK will have a 100% electric car fleet of nearly 1,000 vehicles, achieving their target a full year early. 🙌

Since 2019, Arval UK has partnered with Vodafone UK to deliver this transformation as part of their wider commitment to reach net zero emissions by 2030.

Here's how we did it:

⚡ introduced Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) through webinars and ride & drive events
⚡ removed petrol and diesel vehicles from choice lists in 2021, followed by Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) in 2023
⚡ launched a BEV salary sacrifice scheme (with 300+ vehicles already delivered!)
⚡ rolled out high-power charging across Vodafone UK offices

“In 2020, just 16% of our cars were BEVs. Next year, we’ll be operating 100% BEVs – a dramatic shift towards net zero emissions that we believe is quite an achievement.” - Craig Login, Property Contract Manager, Vodafone UK.

Meet Beckie, Broker Sales Manager at Arval UK 👋

Beckie's been with us for an impressive 22 years(!),18 of which have been spent as a Sales Manager in our broker division.

Whether it’s visiting brokers or managing new business, every day is different.

Her advice for women looking to enter the industry?

"Be prepared to put in the hours and build good relationships. There is a lot of opportunity in automotive to grow, so if you’re focused on doing well this is the perfect environment."

As a proud mum of three and someone who’s been able to achieve a work-life balance with flexibility and support from Arval UK, Beckie’s journey is proof that hard work and determination pay off.

Arval UK was proud to be a sponsor for the 5th year running at this year's Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 🌈

As the accessibility partner for the event, it meant we could help create a space where everyone could join in the celebrations. Our funding supported:

♿ a wheelchair-accessible stage viewing platform
🤟 British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters for stage acts
🛋 sensory packs, a quiet zone and ear defenders for neurodivergent attendees
🚻 accessible bathroom facilities

We even revamped our e-cargo bike by turning it into a game of 'Parking Pong' with ping pong balls, mini EV chargers and sustainable sunflower giveaways.
