You could almost taste just how bad this fuel had deteriorated, this GSX-R required a complete fuel system overhaul including new fuel pump and cleaning the fuel tank, I’m finding I’m doing this more frequent due to the short life span of modern day fuels. Tip always make sure your bike is in a well ventilated garage with no covers as the covers will make the bike sweat causing excess condensation.

It’s been fun making this interceptor handle better, a new set of BT46’s and upgrading the front suspension using YSS springs and valves.

Nice little recommission job I had in last week, this bike had been sat for 3 years and was asked to collect, diagnose and start, full service and MOT ready for my customer to start using again.

This has been one of those jobs 🙄, an intermittent electrical fault that stops the bike from starting.
After hours of fault finding this was pinpointed down to two faults that had signs of corrosion, first one being the bikes ignition switch and 2nd the bikes wiring loom creating a big voltage drop when cranking and not allowing the bike to start as this runs through the bikes ECU.
