Mk1 mx5 just finished last week in time for the Queens University Motor Club Lanes rally.

The car has seen plenty of action this past few years and was due a tidy up and refresh mechanically.

- Fully repainted including door shuts etc and rims painted metallic grey

- All bushings removed and replaced with polybushes

- Full coilover suspension kit

- 4 branch manifold

- Full stainless exhaust and decat

- Timing advanced to 14degrees

- New exedy clutch and crank shaft oil seals

- New compbrake vertical handbrake and re brake piped

- Full alignment and geo setup.

Car now handles perfectly and should be good to go for the lanes and hillclimbs for another few years.

No pics during the build as there were a few other cars to prepare for the event as we were tight for time but we met the deadline with some time to spare ;-)

US Spec Bumpers and door moulding
ABT Side Skirts
Brand new Airlift V2 suspension kit
Polybushed rear beam
Braided brake hose kit
Powerflex camber bolts up front and strut mounts modified
Rear camber shims fitted

Bumper tops, lower valances, side skirts and arch mouldings all done with textured paint to leave an original like new finish.

Few bits and pieces left to do after Castlewellan show to get it sitting a lot lower and drop plates to be fitted on the rear to centre the wheels when aired out. Good change from before.
