Malcolms SOM UPDATE Tuesday 12 MAY 2020
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all safe and well and continuing to follow the government guidelines.
To update you on where we are at on this current COVID-19 situation, I originally was hoping that stopping lessons would have been for a shorter period of time than this but that was until the COVID 19 pandemic worsened dramatically.
Going by the information the government has provided yesterday via the Prime Minister, I'm STILL NOT able to teach in a safe manner due to social distancing measures of 2metres distance between myself and pupil still being in place.
Due to the continued albeit slightly relaxed 'lockdown' measures put in place last night, social distancing regulations and for safety, I have no other option than to continue with the suspension of all driving lessons until I have received more information. I am awaiting further advice from the DVSA as to when I can expect to return to work.
Your safety and mine is my top priority in this whole situation.
Once lock down, social distancing measures and safety have improved I will update you all again hopefully to arrange to get everyone booked back in again to restart as soon as possible and is safe to do so.
Well done to everyone who has been studying for their theory test, keep at it, those who haven’t started, please make a start on it, it will save time! No theory test pass, No practical driving test and No driving licence! 🚘🚦Any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Please be aware that test bookings both theory and practical are going to have a massive back log and waiting times.
Most importantly to you and your families, please, please continue to stay safe and well, I really do hope to see you all very soon.
Remember there is nothing greater than health and life
