This original September 1967 UK-registered right-hand drive example is finished in Grey Blue Metallic over Parchment Leather. This vehicle features the highly desirable single transverse rear jump seat and is beautifully finished with a new navy blue soft top. The vehicle comes with a detailed worksheet summarising recent cosmetic work, including full body preparation, exterior colour matching, refreshed trim, and new hubcaps. Inside, the cabin has undergone a complete overhaul with new seats, door cards, and carpets, subtly modernising the driving experience with a Krämer Automotive classic infotainment system and twin centre-console USB ports.

Mechanically and structurally, this vehicle has been prepared to an exacting standard with no detail overlooked. The structure underwent over 211 hours of meticulous renovation, a £30,000 investment that included replacing the bulkhead crossmember, repairing the floor pan and chassis rails, and applying fresh underseal. The mechanical components and running gear received equally extensive attention, featuring overhauled brakes, shock absorbers, fuel lines, bushings, and power steering. The build is anchored by a comprehensive, 6-stage restoration valued at over £230,000. Serviced in 2025, the car has travelled a mere 800 miles since completion.

Project update: US-spec 560SL, SportLine build.

Commissioned by a collector in Southeast Asia, this US-spec, left-hand-drive 560SL is being transformed from its original white and grey into a bespoke Light Ivory over Brazil Brown, a rare colour combination, even in period.

Beneath the surface, a complete engine rebuild forms the heart of the build: stock camshafts and pistons retained for reliability, with a switch to electronic fuel injection and a fully mappable ECU for precise, drivability-focused tuning. The result a meaningful step up in both horsepower and torque.

Sitting on its genuine AMG split-rim alloys, the car now rides on fully adjustable suspension with an anti-roll bar kit, currently being fine-tuned to get the ride height and handling balance just right.

Light Ivory pairs beautifully with the black accents and new chrome bumpers, while a full stainless exhaust system unleashes the V8 note this engine was always capable of one factory restraint the Sport Line spec was designed to undo.
