🥇 J1000 CHAMPION & Laois Winners🥇

What a day for Matthew Wray & Joe McNulty with Matthew driving his socks off all day, winning the J1000 Category by over 40 Seconds and becoming the 2026 J1000 Champion

Absolutely delighted for the lads and to the whole team 👌🏻

We also had Rally2 cars on the event so a full report will follow

We have been slow at posting this past while things are busy 👌🏻

A few weeks ago was our home rally The Bushwhacker, this was all our cars ready to start the Omagh Grand Prix 😎

Today we head for Laois Forest which just isn’t as close to home

🥇 P1 on the Trackrod Rally & BTRDA Champs 🥇

Massive congratulations to Elliot Payne & Patrick Walsh on taking the top step on today’s Trackrod Rally Yorkshire in the INSport Skoda RS Hire Car

Coming in with no test they bedded in nicely and cracked on in the afternoon to come away with the win and be crowned BTRDA Champions 💪💪

James McCarville & Arthur Kieran’s finished a fine 10th overall in their Skoda RS

🥇 🍾 P1 on Britpart Woodpecker Stages 🥇

What a fantastic first day for Elliot Payne & Patrick Walsh in the INSport Skoda RS Hire Car

A very small seat check yesterday afternoon and a drive up the road they were good to go and a steady first loop left them in the lead by 6 seconds!

The second loop they really started to gel with the package and went fastest on 3 out of the 4 stage to win the rally by 12 seconds

James McCarville & Arthur Kieran’s finished a fine 10th overall after two spins & stalls 👌🏻

John & Ruthann are currently holding a fine third overall in Wexford so here’s hoping tomorrow is as good as today

All crews ready for Lakeland Stages 2026

🥇 Double Podium at Cork Forest 2026 🥉

Our long trip south was worth it at the weekend for the 2026 Jim Walsh Cork Forest Rally which always has been kind to us in the past

Starting at car 6 was Gareth Mimnagh & J Barry McCarney in the CM Trust Fiesta Rally2, their day started very strong slotting into the top 3 in the morning loop, unfortunately they dropped some time in the middle of the day getting stuck in a chicane and the car stalling, they got to the end salvaging 6th overall - Well done

Car 7 Was Niall McCullagh & Conor Mohan in the INSport Skoda RS Hire Car, they started with a pop off issue on the first three stages, got it changed in service and pushed on the rest of the day to set a fastest time on the last stage securing 3rd overall - Well done again

Gary Reidy & Mikey Breen started at car 14 and after a clean first stage they picked up a double puncture on stage 2, only carrying one spare they had to be recovered and then decided to save the car for the Lakeland Stages in a few weeks - Hard Luck

Onto the “Real Rally”

The J1000 Race

The Wray Brothers had a big week turning 17 on the Friday before the rally and also passing their theory tests on the same day 🎉

Then they started very strong on the rally James taking first blood on the opener with Matthew hot on his heals in second
Then Matthew took the lead on stage two to lead into service after stage 3

Unfortunately on stage 5 James wheel studs had enough and sheered on the front left wheel and they had to retire mid stage and ruin his hopes of a win and a championship dash

Matthew & Rory kept the head even after not getting credited with a nominal time after stopping with another car mid stage, they pushed on going fastest on the last stage by 10 seconds and winning by almost 20 seconds, great mature drive 💪💪

A tricky day out for all,

We had 5 cars in action today with Alan Smyth & Emmet Sherry finishing a fine 3rd Overall (their third podium out of three rallys)

Martin Cairns & Mark Preston finished up 12th overall after a day with no drama

Newcomer to rallying Liam McGavigan really impressed today laying 6th overall after SS1 on his third road rally - Really gelling with his new Skoda RS. Him and Liam McIntyre proving to be a great pairing! Unfortunately they spun in the latter part of the day losing over 1 min 30 seconds finishing up 13th overall and keeping the car in one piece for Donegal in a few weeks

Jack Cairns & Ben Teggart had a good day in the Rally3 Fiesta had a few spins and overshoots in the slippy stages but ended up second in class

Niall McGonigle & Caolan McKenna in the INSport Rally Hire Polo had a bad start to the day having a spin in the first stage losing 15 seconds, they tried to put the push on in stage 3 until they wernt 🤣🤣
