Less than 5 weeks to go and the excitement is building. Preparations behind the scenes are in full swing, selecting beers to feature, getting merchandise ready and making sure everyone will have fun and be safe! Customer booked in their kia sportage for lack of power and smoke from the exhaust.

We diagnosed the vehicle to have turbo failure.
Fault codes were stored indicating an issue with the turbo
Further investigation showed that oil had gone through the turbo into the Diesel Particulate Filter
The DPF was blocked also which didnt help.
New turbo and DPF along with the DPF pressure sensor, fitted to the engine.
Oil and filter changed carried out

Vehicle back up and running with full power again! 😀👍

Our customer booked in their BMW to investigate a oil leak.
We carry out a general check over of the vehicle and we found the oil cooler to be leaking engine oil. The vehicle also needed some TLC on the suspension!

We replaced the oil cooler and carried out an oil change - we updated the online service book and reset the service light.
Replacement suspension on 3 corners of the vehicle.

Another wetbelt change on a ford transit custom!

This vehicle was well over due a wetbelt change!
The owner was lucky the belt didnt let go.
Over time, oil degrades the wetbelts. Along with age and unfortunately missed services.

This is why it's advised to service your vehicles more regularly to help preserve the wetbelts life spam.
Servicing is very important not just for the wetbelts but for the engine also.

For sure the customer was happy and their mind is now at rest. 😀

If your local to stowmarket and you know of our work then you will know that we are no strangers to big jobs.
We regularly carry out wet belts, timing chains, full engine rebuilds the list goes on.
I am personally looking for someone with experience in this line of work to join our team. We do carry out the basic work too and the all important services and MOT repairs too.
We have two workshops with a total of 6 ramps, and so far 4 technicians all being with us for atleast 3 years.
