Fuses blowing… solar panels failing… DC-DC and AC-DC chargers not suitable for lithium… and an EHU consumer unit with no earth 😬

This setup needed a full rescue — so we stripped it back and rebuilt it properly using quality Victron components. All wiring has been corrected, tidied, and made far easier to understand (and much safer!).

We also removed the two old flexible panels and installed a single 160W rigid panel for better performance and reliability.

Everything is now fully sorted and ready for the upcoming season! ⚡️🌞

Swapped back to standard springs, kept the Koni shock absorbers, and added a couple of handy shelves to finish it off. 🔧✨

New customer wanted glass all round, plus flush front sliders with the latest locking system — including the ability to lock with a ventilation gap. Nice little transformation 👌

👻 Thought the frights ended with Halloween… but apparently not!

Faulty Sargent unit removed, everything rewired properly, and all issues sorted. 🔧⚡

Old battery and unsafe electrics removed.
New Roamer LiFePO4 Smart 160Ah battery and Victron Smart DC-DC charger installed — all neatly housed under the single passenger seat in this Transporter.

It’s now fully set up for plenty of off-grid power. ⚡

Removed faulty flexible panel
Cleaned of old adhesive
Installed new mounts and high efficiency Bi-facial unit
Now they're ready for the next trip

Big news! After months of tinkering, testing and plenty of late nights in my unit, I've finally launched: The Trunk Monkey.

It’s a campervan rear door cargo system built for any adventure – think bikes, boards, boxes, or muddy boots. If you can strap it, mount it, or hang it, the Trunk Monkey’s got you covered. I've put together a 90 second video below to show how it works.

It's currently compatible with post '18 VW Crafter and Mercedes Sprinter - but if you've got another van, drop me a message and we'll see what's possible.
