Welcome to our new and old customers , i thought it would be cool to explain how we got to where we are today ,
Dean started off as a Blacksmiths lad at 15 , he then went on to college where he started to weld , gradually working with all types of metals , studying metallics and getting his ASB9 coding , undertaking fabrication work of many types from working on racing cars , private collections , exhaust developments to tanks , pipes , breweries, kilns , and much more ,of late we had the pleasure of welding and building a Lancaster Bomber front screen so it could go back into a cockpit which is on display at a museum . He is also a time served motor bike mechanic working in the past for a number of companies locally , hence the exhaust development and his love of motorcycles. Some of you may not know he took a break to work with adults and children with neuro diverse differences as a care activity worker before setting up our own business in 2007 . During this time we have worked on a variety of things from a Bronze stag who lost a leg , a Brass staircase which arrived the wrong size for a customer , magnesium parts , titanium exhausts , micro breweries , car kits which needed new doors making , classic cars from Aston martins to beetles , sidecars including our own , a Landrover he made for our daughter , so much more to mention and weird and wonderful , but we have always done wheels along side it all .We started to straighten wheels along time a go , due to deans understanding of how metal reacts under heat and pressure after studying metallics we are fully aware of what a safe repair should look like , and all wheels are fully inspected , the spokes hold the wheel shape and the weight of the vehicle so any damage to a spoke or near a spoke we refuse to repair, we prefer to keep our customers safe .Powder coating we started in around 2017 as we wanted to keep everything in house and guarantee the work quality . We developed our own glow in the dark , heat reactive powders and also water transfers and vinyl designs which are heat proof and go under our acrylic lacquer too so its never dull . We pride our selves on honesty and customer service so if a customer comes to us and we think its better they replace the wheel we will be honest and tell you . A bit about me( Tina ) I've been along for the ride since we set up I've welded , cleaned , stripped off body filler , stripped cars , fitted exhausts , fitted tyres , fitted wheels . I do the ordering , booking of work , answering calls , sorting the books for the accountant , checking repairs mostly now so we can move smoothly ,( Dean does the better coffee ) Ive been customer based since i started a part time job in a shop aged 12 , I worked in fashion clothing shops , beauty consultant, small supermarkets and a photographer . Our youngest daughter also helps with the replies on social media and when i am not available . We do have more exciting things planned to grow the business so tag along for the ride.
