Some news for people….

We are hearing on the grapevine that Jaguar Land Rover has invited Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern to leave with immediate effect. Sources told Autocar India that McGovern was "escorted out of the office", bringing to an end a 21 year career in design for JLR.

JLR has not offered an official confirmation or rebuttal at this time.

More when we hear it.

Vehicle Technician Required

AWJ Automotive are an established, very successful independent Jaguar Specialist based at Parkhouse Industrial Estate East, Newcastle Under Lyme. Although we specialise in Jaguars, we service and repair ALL makes of vehicle.

We are looking for full time Vehicle Technicians to join our small and expanding team.

Requirements are:

- Self motivated individuals who take pride in their workmanship and who are capable of carrying out work accurately, safely, in a timely manner and to the highest standards.

- Vehicle maintenance qualification to NVQ Level 3, equivalent or above

- Jaguar experience is desirable but not essential.

- Ability to carry out diagnostics, servicing and repairs including suspension rebuilds and cam belt replacements.

- Full driving licence as duties include road testing

- Good housekeeping standards including keeping tools and work environment clean, organised and safe

We offer:

- Workplace pension scheme
- 20 days holiday plus Statutory, per annum
- Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
- Paid overtime, including some Saturdays when required
- Main dealer level tooling and diagnostic equipment
- Ongoing training package
