2 Abarth mta automatics in last week with the same issue.
Both vehicles had no reverse gear & a grinding noise when driving in forward gears.
These vehicles both had the same thing in common initially they would select gears show on the dash in first or reverse but wouldn’t pull away when the accelerator pedal was pressed.
Unfortunately in both these cases someone decided to rev them up to 3500 revs where the gearbox ecu automatically lets the clutch out & boom 💥 it strips the teeth from the spigot shaft & the gearbox is then not repairable due to the cost of parts.
In both cases we supply good used tested boxes, new clutches & slave cylinders & one requires a flywheel.
New gearbox oil then a full gearbox calibration.
