Panel Be**er/Restoration Technician

Salary: £24,900.00-£28,000.00 per year

Job description

· To repair or replace as necessary bodywork panels of damaged vehicles according to the instructions received or details on the job card. This will include chassis and framework.

· Stripping and fitting panels and bodywork

· You will be required to efficiently repair vehicles checking on completion ensuring there are no defects including changing quarter panels, filler work, stripping a vehicle down and rebuilding it.

· Panel straightening and filler to repair dents

· Replacement of panels

· Welding and bonding of vehicle structure

· Removing & replacing complete body shell

· Adhere to the manufacturer’s literature and modification bulletins as appropriate to the repair and to the replacement of chassis and panel work.

· To ensure that all equipment used, to include jigs, fixtures and welding equipment, is operated in accordance with defined safety requirements.

· The role is to carry out all panel be**er repair work on all makes of vehicles and to be able demonstrate a full range of vehicle body repairs including jig work.

· Repair and replace body components to damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition and to Kitemark BS10125 and manufacturer's standards

Experience

Minimum 2 years experience
( References may be asked for)

· A working and demonstrable knowledge of vehicle panel repairs

· Relevant panel qualifications - IMI 3, NVQ 3 or ATA Panel Be**er Accreditation desirable but not essential

· Panel be**er Experience is essential

· A working knowledge of H&S responsibilities

· Manufacturer experience is desirable.

Must have right to work in UK status

£25,900-£27,000 Per year

Job Description:

To Visually Check & Diagnose vehicles for any engine/mechanical faults.

Be able to to repair, dismantle and remove non working components/parts and be able to replace them with new parts using appropriate tools/machinery.

Carry out routine maintenance checks on vehicles (Vehicle Servicing), inclusive of oil, air and fuel filters.

Check condition of all electronic systems on vehicles.

Be able to install electrical amenities such Radio/CD Players & aerials.

Be able to repair & service air conditioning, heating & Engine-cooling systems.

Job requirements:

Minimum Previous 2 Years Experience. (References may be asked for)

or Applicants with NVQ Levels 2 or 3 to be also considered.

Must have right to work in the UK status
