After decades with the Mottershead family, today Roadside Garage (Stockport) Ltd has changed hands into the Clayton family, and we cannot think of a better person to be driving the business forward.

Adam joined us 11 years ago as an apprentice technician, and has since gone on to become workshop manager.
Adam has supported our family through a pandemic, a boss undergoing cancer treatment, maternity leave and the loss of the business owner.
We cannot thank Adam enough for his hard work, resilience and dedication he has shown us over the last few years and cannot wait to see what the future holds for him and the business.
Adam is a passionate petrol head who comes from a strong background/family in the motor trade and we hope you join us in wishing him every success!
Whilst it is a sad time for us as a family to say goodbye to something that has been such a huge part of our lives, we are so excited and comforted to be leaving it in such capable hands.

Our family would like to say a massive thank you to all of our lovely loyal customers that have supported our small family business over the last 37 years, you have been like family! It means so much to us that you supported your local Garage, and recommended us to others time after time.

We would like to mention a special thank you to our team who have been there with us through it all, you don’t know how much we appreciate all you have done for us.

Fear not though, the same familiar faces are still here ready to assist with all of your mechanical needs, it’s business as usual albeit without Libby at the helm.

With the Easter holidays fast approaching us, we would like to share an update of our business hours over the bank holiday weekend:

Thursday 6th April : 8:00am-5:30pm
Friday 7th April : CLOSED

Monday 10th April : CLOSED
Tuesday 11th April : 08:00am-5:30pm

We always get a little busier before the bank holiday as people tend to go away during this time.

Just a reminder to our lovely customers that we will be closing on Bank holiday Monday 8th May for the coronation of King Charles III and Camilla.

We will reopen as usual at 8:00am Tuesday 9th May.

We are supporting one of our long standing customer’s Neil who is rowing 3000 miles from the Canaries to Antigua in aid of Alzheimer’s Society.

Neil like many others has been personally affected by Dementia in his family, and we would like to help raise awareness to his incredible undertaking to try and raise £25,000 to help support others who are affected by this debilitating disease.

We know times are hard right now for many, but if you can spare anything at all, please follow the link to Neil’s just giving page to make a donation.

Alternatively we have a collection box in our reception to take any cash donations if preferred and we will transfer the funds electronically on your behalf to this amazing cause.

As are all other businesses, out of respect for our late sovereign Queen Elizabeth II, we will be closed on the national day of mourning Monday 19th September.

We will be contacting any customers who previously had bookings with us for this day to re-arrange in due course.
